Re: PIAA District Six Baseball Playoffs
It's pretty sad what coaches will do to win a game. A pitcher has pitched the same way all year and he complains about the angle of his start point from the wind up . When that didn't work he'll stoop to have his coaches lie about the pitch count to have a pitcher removed from the game they couldn't touch. It seems odd when for 5 innings pitch count for pitch count was right on . They lie and threaten to protest after 6 innings saying there's a 6 pitch count discrepancy in the count after 5 innings everything was right on.
The team that plays Huntingdon verify, look, check , initial their pitch counts so they don't try to cheat and bully your team into changing pitchers when their hitters hadn't a clue all day in what they were doing !!!!!!!!!

Re: PIAA District Six Baseball Playoffs
If Ronan was at 51 after 4, how did he get to a 100 over the next 2?
Re: PIAA District Six Baseball Playoffs
Let's see here. 18 pitches in the 1st 1 walk 3Ks. 10 in the 2nd a K and a DP. 8 in the 3rd a 3 pitch K 1 pitch 4-3, 3 pitch single, 1pitch F9. 15 in the 4th 13 pitch 2 Ks 2 pitch F6. 51 after 4.
Then on cue most umps start squeezing pitches that were strikes in the first 4 innings mysteriously become balls.
18 in the 5th 4 pitch walk, 6 pitch walk 7 pitch K on the next two hitters a one pitch F7. 51+18 is 69 not 79 according to their Einstein pitch count keeper after it was confirmed 87 Hunt. 69 PC. 27 in the 6th 11 pitches 2 walks , 2 pitch single, 3 pitch K, 11 pitch 3 staight Ks 4 in the inning. A total of 96 after 6. 4 pitches is a big deal that could be two hitters.
In their eyes if we can't hit him let's make up a pitch count to get him out of there
and start threatening to protest.
18+10+8+15 +18+27=96. The guy from the Trib and Mainliner had the same 96. So whatever Huntingdon do what it takes to win. Great example for your team!!!!!
First casualty of this BS pitch count rule!!! Alot of talking between Huntingdon coaches and the homeplate ump between innings!!!!

PIAA pitch count rules state that if there is a discrepancy in pitch count that can not be resolved the home team scorebook becomes the official book.

So why did PC bow then?
Re: PIAA District Six Baseball Playoffs
I know that's the rule. It was decided he had to come out after one hitter anyway. The first hitter was never hit he made the call and the ump listen and sent him to first . Just garbage umpiring late in the game.
