Crossover games that you would want to see?
Re: Crossover games that you would want to see?
I didn't necessarily mean "move on" out of the subregion, but win a game or two. Extend the season into November.upnorth wrote:I don't know about that as there seems to have been a substantial gap in talent/results between State College and Altoona over the past decade. The winner of the D6/8/10 sub-region has a tough road to Hershey. They get the winner of the D2/4 sub-region, then the WPIAL champion and then the D3 champion just to get to the title game.Aiks19 wrote:The difference will be when Altoona has a semi competitive team. Three years ago they actually went 7-3 but were one and done in the playoffs. Now they can go back to D6-10 subregion where they will have a chance to move on.
I'm not saying they can't be competitive. It's just not easy anywhere in 6A, especially for a "western" team.

Yes and I believe the hope is they will get more kids out with the hopes of at least being competitive on a week to week basis.

Agreed! Perhaps they should do something like our neighbors to the east do and make it a Thanksgiving Day game. Whatever they do you're right they should always play.UsmcAH1W wrote:The game that I love to watch is the Coal Bowl. CH vs NC. Regardless of the teams records these two teams play each other hard.
