I don't know about that as there seems to have been a substantial gap in talent/results between State College and Altoona over the past decade.  The winner of the D6/8/10 sub-region has a tough road to Hershey.  They get the winner of the D2/4 sub-region, then the WPIAL champion and then the D3 champion just to get to the title game.

I'm not saying they can't be competitive.  It's just not easy anywhere in 6A, especially for a "western" team.
I didn't necessarily mean "move on" out of the subregion, but win a game or two. Extend the season into November.

Yes and I believe the hope is they will get more kids out with the hopes of at least being competitive on a week to week basis.

Agreed! Perhaps they should do something like our neighbors to the east do and make it a Thanksgiving Day game.  Whatever they do you're right they should always play.
