It's playoff time. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Wouldn't be surprised if it's LV vs BM, BA vs LV, BM vs CH or BA vs CH. Cambria Heights seems to be peaking at the right time. Coach Hayes will have Bellwood ready for a run too. It'll be interesting. Good luck to all!!!

He might be....played some corner last week when Beitel dislocated his elbow and he’s traditionally a corner. Between him and Daugherty they pretty much shut down any down field passing game. That’s a ton of speed at the safety position. I think they’ve only given up one passing TD, but haven’t played a team with a QB who has a strong enough arm to throw downfield without a safety being right there. If they do get thrown on it’ll be short passes to the boundaries or quick slants. 

I would consider CH to be a bigger threat to LV than BA or BM. They have a lot of size up front and experience...most of the team returned. Last year LV tried to prove a point by lining up and out muscling them and didn’t throw the ball much at all in the first half. I’m not so sure that game plan will work this year. That being said, does any team have the speed to keep up with LVs skill players or make them one dimensional? CH beat Jtown so they must have some right? I know McCort usually has some, but I heard that last year and then watched LV manhandle and out run them all game. I think that if a team can shut down their running game, make them throw all game and try to control the clock that way they’ll have a chance. They still have a dynamic passing game, but as they learned in the state semi game last year it is very difficult to win against good competitionwhen you’re one dimensional on offense.

Probably best not to assume. Agreeing that "can throw"is a relative term, Heights was actually fifth in the LHAC in passes attempted behind CC, FH, Jtwn and Richland. At 125 yards per game through the air, they are the second-best passing team statistically in the AA field (as noted in the first post of this thread) and they have the only 1,000-yard passer in the AA field. And they do compete in the 7-on-7 events in the summer. They are effective running the ball, too. You got that one right.

My mistake, the last 3 years they only threw the ball more than Westmont and Carroll and had a completion percentage of around 35%, did not realize they threw more this year. And as for 7 on 7, the coach told someone mutual that they do not go to them, perhaps they did this year.

Well maybe you should not listen to your source. CH has been doing 7 on 7 for about 5 or 6 years. Just try.

Thought that someone on CH's coaching staff would be a good source, but I agree, won't listen to them anymore, laughable. And I'm glad they've been going, last 3 years their completion percentage was around 30% so it had apparently worked, this year........
