I didn't say anything about beating Bedford, but I think that Ridge still has some very good athletes, and they aren't getting the respect they deserve due to the arrogance of some of the Bedford people here. I don't know about beating Bedford this year, but who knows? Perhaps some our team will throw together a good solid performance and do that, or give them one heck of a scare, if nothing else. Yes, we will need everybody to step it up a notch, such as throwers (Where's Houseworth and Gadley now), jumpers (we don't have Marshall, but still have the Utz boys and Mocks), and track people (trust me, if you don't know who this J-Rod is, you'll find out soon). So if everybody gets together, gives their best effort, and somehow beats Bedford, it will be worthwhile. But then I'd get on here and it'd be a fluke, no doubt. *Shrugs* Yes, Bedford has some good boys, and Harris and Marshall will get their due. But don't discount anything.

Just because Gunner is saying things, and he is from Bedford, doesn't mean the whole town, or the Bedford teams are being arrogant. So, please reword your post and no swearing.

Ok, let's talk about Ridge girls track. Hmm, they should be strong in the hurdles this year, and in distance they probably won't be too great, unless perhaps the Edmonsons or Cuppett can meet the challenge of being competitive in the one and two mile events. In sprints, they are hurt by Jill's deciding not to come out for track, but one can really never count them out of any event. This season will hold a few surprises for all the teams I think.

I think our 4 by 1 relay might be pretty good this year. i think we got Cunningham, Whetstone, Wertz, and Byers. If Shelsa can step it up she could be an awsome high jumper and a pretty decent long jumper b/c of her heigth. I just dunno if she wants to do the work. But like i said she could be awsome.

Who is going to be running the 4x400 and 4x800 this year??

*By the way, I wouldnt look for Shelsa to step it up because she has never been one to apply or overexert herself in anything. Im not saying she wont, but it would really surprise me if she did. She could be a descent athlete, she just needs a little motivation and, well....morals, to be successful.

I really do think that Ridge track is going to be pretty good this year. At the beginning of the season I was a little unsure about everything because it seemed there was a lack of girls but now everything is coming together. The jumps, relays, and hurdles are all looking good and most likely the throwers too *havent been able to check that out* I am just excited for the first meet! :D
