if any of you watch the NBA all-star game, you would no that mostly all NBA players have street ball talent. Because the all star game is just for fun and they do all kinds of stuff, just too show that the have their own tricks, just the Street Ball players.

You guys are horrible, streetball is where its commin, basketball is a game meant to have fun and if you can do a move to get your team pumped and everything do it....just like the dunk ever see johnstown play? they throw more allay ooops than they take layups....whys that because its a good way to shift momentum and get your crowd into the game, who wants to see and straight forward jumpstop 2 foot jumper off the block anymore? who wants to do it? no1 because everyone can do it and its not exciting...its a fast pace game, and its getting better as the years go, you old people might wanna quit downtalking streetball and go with the game rather than trying to go against it

Something to think about...in D7 teams like Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Penn Hills are criticized for playing (what appears to be) unorganized streetball. The game that is played has to match the type of athlete you have available.
Aliquippa has seen some exceptional athletes and the system in place reflects that. We're going to run, run, then run some more. The plan is to wear you down by the 3rd qtr, finish you off in the fourth.
This has paid dividends here in Aliquippa, 3 WPIAL titles in 4 years playing by that system. Something our coach once said is that "it's PLAY Ball, not WORK ball". It's meant to be fun.

It's about time some people realize that streetball is more fun. It also allows for creativity, along with winning. I like to adda little flare in ma game by throwing a no-look, or nehind the back when i feel necessary, or if i just want to. Streetball is by far the most exciting thing to do, all we wanna do is have fun, its not all about fundamentals, and i wish my coaches would get that through their heads

I did not realize when I was watching the "Iceman" George Gervin and the old NBA players I watching a boring game. You know basketball teams, college and pros used to score over 100 points a game. There is only one way to play the game, and that is run and gun!
I know the coach at Northern Bedford would have loved for a few more of those boring two foot jump shoots to go in last year.
Tis not who dunks the most wins but who scores the most points.
Should we make this wonderful game award style points like gymnastics and figure skating?
How you look must be important also. After all, style over substance!

I would rather see 9 out of 10 bounce passes get delivered then only 5 out of 10 no looks or behind the backs. because that is usually the way it goes. out of bounds or uncatchable.

it's all going to be streetball in about 10 years, if they did the stuff they do now back in the 60's they'd probably get suspended. I think basketball players aren't as worried about fundamentals now as they are moves
