Agreed packerfan. Pat Tillman's death was a tragedy and the article should not have been published. I think most people can agree on that, whether pro-war or anti-war, pro-Bush or anti-Bush. The fact that he is an athlete just makes it hit home to more people.

I may be as big a butt as the kid that wrote that article. But the main difference,I appreciate all those who have sacrificed and served in conflict (my father included)and still do sacrifice for my right to feel that way.And I feel that all those who don't at least respect that deserve a beating; The tree hugging comment was directed towards those people who have 45 cheeks to turn and look the other way.The 1st bombing on the trade centers told me that we can't keep looking the other way,9/11 showed us a preview of what's coming if we don't smash these thugs before they get going.I'm not going go get into a big debate in the rights and wrongs of today's politics.I have my opinion on the matter, and just like the little retard in Mass.-If you don't like it,tough $hi+!

To one and all: A point of clarification. First and foremost, I am NOT a bleeding-heart Liberal treehugger, and I am sorry if someone assumed I was implying anything like "hands across America". The point of that article was to stir the melting pot against all us "true blue" Americans who think that just because we have all this freedom, they can spout and write their trash and a whole lot of people will feel the same way as the article writer did. I would be one of the first to end up in jail if this clown said that kind of stuff to my face, because he/ she would be missing some teeth. I'm a survivor of the 60's, and this is no different than the peace-love-dope hippie crap and anti-US government of the Students For Democratic Society, Abby Hoffman, Malcolm X, other radicals that don't agree with the current administration's policies on pretty much anything that goes against their PERSONAL agenda's. I agree with those who do speak up and say, "If this country is so dang bad, get the hell out and find someplace better!" I hope this clears up MY point of view.

Being from the great state of Mass, I am embarrased that such a lousy article would come from one of its college grads. You know how she got there don't you? 2 words...STATUS QUO. She got extra brownie points from being from a seventh rate county herself.

Now some may say "well PR is a part of the USA"...that's only a pity association people. They are so close to Cuba and communisim and so small they can't do anything that they need to cower under our protective blanket.

Here's the short of it. Tillman joined up to serve his country. He did that and he is a hero for it. So are all the others who serve this country. Army, policeman, emt, whoever you are. Tillman got noticed because he was a public figure BEFORE the army. Someone should show that lil immigrant what it means to serve the country that gives you so many freedoms...
