when i read the scouting report that coach posted earlier from the mlb website it seemed pretty accurate, except for it says hes not overpowering?...the kid was hitting 95 mph last summer in jtown and consistently throws in the low 90's...he should get a decent signing bonus and hopefully we'll see him at blair county ballpark in a year or two...

hollywood...1 every 50 years?...heres some players who have been drafted that are from the area in the past few years...im sure im missing a few guys also...
dicken from nbc
runk from tussey
bridenbaugh from central
mayer from somerset
jackson from altoona
potter from phillipsburg
roberts? from forest hills
central football coach a.j. hoenstine played in the reds organization
a kid from juniata valley i believe but i cant think of his name
williams from bedford
ryan from indiana (with the twins now)
milton from bellefonte (with the phills now)

Scube,
aj hoenstine wasnt in the reds organization it was his dad dave, however, he played at mansfield. The kid from valley your thinking of is nate something i cant remember his last name, he and runk were selected by the reds and played rookie ball in billings montana. Hollywood knows all about Mike Ryan because they are cousins!

But this is gettin of the topic I want to wish Dicky best of luck and hopefully we will be seeing him in the big leagues. I couldnt believe it also when they said not overpowering!

Good to hear Dicken was drafted!! 1 in 50 years from this area make it to the TRUE League!! YOU all stretch the area to all over central PA north to New York border to south Maryland borders. Heck Indiana, PA is closer to Pittsburgh than here!!
