I want USA to win the gold too..but I just think they could be playing a little harder and not be beating teams but only a couple. True they didnt get the players over there they wanted to but this is a great bunch of players that should be able to blow out the other countries. I also think that Larry Brown should be more worried about winning the games then making sure that every player gets minutes. True that he should be fair to other players...but if someone is not playing well dont worry about his minutes replace him! But I guess if he doesnt give the minutes..not all players but some will cry about it...one of the main problems with this team...not playing team ball...out for themselves...in my state of view..
But I do hope they win Gold!

Obviously if this situation irritates me than the others would too. Every athlete should be proud to represent their country in the Olympics and once every four years isn't asking much!

Look at this situation for a minute. The World Cup and the Olympics are both played during the MLS season and players leave their league team to represent their country.

I don't know if that was a cut on me or what but I am speaking the truth about these guys. I like all these players!!

I guarantee if they sent Coach K and his Duke squad plus some good NCAA players, they could stick it to just about everyone.

if shaq, kobe and company wouldnt have punked out on us we would still be just as successful...i cant believe these guys make so much money and they wont go to bat for their country in the olympics...its the OLYMPICS...they get paid wayyy too much, its not like they're even missing any NBA time...

Hey they are men and can do what they want. Nobody has to do anything and they are in full control of what they want to do.

Certainly have their backs up against the wall.

They did lose to day but the difference is that today they played fairly well. Lithuania's basketball team isnt a pushover, they just plain beat them. The US can still get into the elimination round by beating Angola.
