Re: Helmets
Someone give me a logical response as to what has changed over the last 20 years in football with all these concussions. Is it just that the athletes were more thick headed and played with the injuries, they just sucked it up or do players today fall out on every little bit of contact?

Re: Helmets
having played 20 years ago,,,,,,we had as many concussions then as we do now. if you look back to 50 years ago, athletes are bigger and stronger and when they started to make better helmets,, players would lead with their heads more than say when they had leather helmets or the first helmets which were very poor helmets. also concussions were often undiagnosed then unless their was more serious symptoms. now with trainers at every practice not much is missed. in the 3 grades of concussions,,,a grade 1 concussion can be labeled for an injury described a "getting your bell rung" and you can return to play as soon as head pain decreases

warriorcoach,,,,,,,,,you can get lube from your riddell salesperson to lube the needles[/quote]
My Riddell salesman tells me that dish soap or hand soap works just as good or better than the Ridell needle prep. We started using soap this year, and we have had no problems, so far.
