One thing is for sure abt the PC Panthers this year the only ppl that will be surprised are the ppl like you guys who write us off b/c we lost Berno and Q from last years team. We have just as many if not more athletes and ppl to get the job done this year and one thing that is always for sure is that Bruce Frycklund could out coach anyone in the area.

HERE IS HOW THEY WILL GO BOYS

1. JOHNSTOWN/BISHOP MCCORT- NO WAYS JTOWN CAN BE AS GOOD AS THEY WERE A YEAR AGO. TWO D2 PLAYERS IS TOO MUCH TO LOSE FOR A TEAM. MCCORT GOOD A GOOD COACH AND HAS THE ATHLETES.

3. PENN CAMBRIA- GURANTEED WORKED THE HARDEST OVER THE SUMMER. A GOOD BALANCE TEAM WITH A REAL NICE POINTGUARD. JV TEAM LAST YEAR WENT I THINK 18-3. THE BEST COACH IN THE AREA.

4. BISHOP CARROLL- MAYBE UNDERRANKING THEM, BUT THEY DID LOSE A REALLY GOOD COACH. THEY GOT A GOOD CENTER TOO.

5. CENTRAL CAMBRIA- BETTER HOPE THE MATT MESAROS RUMOR IS JUST A RUMOR BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM WHO ELSE DO THEY HAVE.

6. BEDFORD/FOREST HILLS- NO ONE IN THE AREA CAN GUARD TROY HARRIS. FOREST HILLS DOES HAVE THE STARTING FIVE BACK BUT 12 DEEP??????????????

7. WESTMONT- THE LOSS OF MAHLER, WHO ELSE IS GOING TO REBOUND AND POST FOR THEM. THEY BETTER HOPE THEY GOT GOOD GUARD PLAY.

8. CAMBRIA HEIGHTS- WILL THEY EVER HAVE A GOOD TEAM

OK when Penn cambria, CC, BC, and Forest Hills All finish ahead of Westmont Im walkin from SHALER HOW ABOUT THAT... ill tell you now, with mike thompson gunnin and ozbold rebounding and the supporting cast they got.... they are in top 5 and should look to eat BC alive... and I personally dont think CC is that good, and with the coach who opts just not to shoot the ball in district play against johnstown because they kept getting killed on the run earlier in the season, I dont see CC beating them neither... FH might beat them just because this is their year for bball but other than that your Ranks are Silly...

1. Jtown / McCort (McCort Held ground at Roxbury league with a victory)
2.
3. Westmont
4.BC / CC / PC /Bedford ( its really a tossup after the first 3)

and I dont care Tominselli is the quickest and best point guard around, ive played against him and I also have seen him play against other players such as Xavier thomas and Mike Thompson, he may have had a individual better performance but that is because that is the player he is... but both X and Mike took their teams further

Westmont was supposed to have down years over the past two seasons. They replaced all 5 starters 2 years ago and still won over 20 games and made it to the LHAC championship game. Last year they replaced 4 starters and won 21 games, District 6, and made it to the Sweet 16 in the state. Don't count them out just yet.

can these teams beat westmont? yes I bet the that FH and BC can both beat westmont, but I just dont see Fh, BC, CC, or PC who is basically luke tominselli regardless of what anyone says, beating westmont... Joe Ozbold is a good Center with improved leaping ability, Drew Rudnick is probably the most improved player this season in the whole area, he has range, can rebound, and improved ball handle, and with a leader such as Mike Thompson and all the players comming off the bench, consider it an upset if any of those teams are to beat westmont because aside of McCort Westmont IS the deepest team in the area, yes FH runs deep with talent, but if you match westmonts bench to forest hills look for a WIN in westmonts favor every time, and I dont see Minemyer, Takacs and Lauer being enough to beat westmont and I dont see Central Cambria beating westmont even if Mesaros plays, not to put them down but Westmont IS a godd team and i think they will be looking to show it night in and night out... watch for them Opening weekend next week when they face off against "the neri's of Ferndale" and depending on the outcome + the outcome of The CV vs United game they will have tough match ups with Conemaugh Valley's young squad or Sharpshooter McInnis or w/e from United

Point guard Michael Thompson is the lone returning starter for Westmont.

well mike may be the lone returning starter but when you have talent that they have stepping up the whole returning thing doesnt really come into account, and besides westmont is the best 3 point shooting team in the area year in and out and it remains that way this year... and I personally think what got them far last year wasnt mahler but ozbold comming off the bench and not losing that step, hell do a good job this year filling in the center along with junior Mark Rossi
