Hey lets put it this way. ridge would be worse off if walters was still there. look at PC this year. ...they are the doormat of the lhac.....and just to point something out....does everyone notice how quickly everyone wants to blame the coach...it is never the players fault..... the players have to take the responsibility for the loss.....see this the problem at ridge....no one wants to take responsibility when something goes wrong....they all want to blame the coach and then want to fire him...doesn't matter how well he did....even though it was the best record ridge has had in the past 10 years.....this is one the reason that ridge has problems building a program....they don't give the coaches a chance and fire them even after they are doing well....look at bedford there coaching staff was pretty much the same for close to ten years under shoemaker....and it really hasn't changed much under swaim....see what happens when u have a coaching staff that is together for so long.....bedford very rarely has a bad season and this is because the coaches change the game plan to fit the kids....but if u keep changing coaches then the players have to keep learning new offensive and defensive systems....they never get used to one system

I wouldn't say we choked.. They just right out beat us. It was sealed By the end of the first half. Can't win'em all. The Coach is actually happy that it's over. No More Practice.

I don't think CR choked! I just think they ran into a better team. They still had a respectable season.

Losing the last 3 out of 4 is a choke in my book.

Though I hate to admit it, Goodwill and his negativity were right. I think that Ridge has a good football team, but one that isn't quite used to winnning yet. They went 6-0, then the thought was, oh my god, we might tie the win total from last season in 7 weeks or something like that. They lost to Bellwood. Then they managed to win, and then it was, oh my god, 8 wins. They lost to Mo Valley. Then, it was win a playoff game, and they lost there too. They are better than those three losses. And I don't know that the coach choked, but I think that there is a chance the players did.
And I do think that Ridge is improved. I recall the first two seasons in the ICC they were 4-5 and then 4-6. Stringing together two seven win seasons is a feat, but I'd rather have Ridge at 6-3 and able to win in the playoffs, where it counts. The regular season is kind of a heat for where the real action is, and unfortunately, Ridge hasn't been able to step it up in that arena yet.

Hey goodwill - some might say that an undeated team, seeded #1, and losing to a #8 team is choking. Just a thought.

Yep, it is. But CC could have very possibly been ranked higher than your Lions had they won even 1 game that they were in this year. The number 8 seed is decieving, ask Jozey. Did Bedford choke? Yes. BTW, they only beat that same number 8 team by 3 points in the regular season, that says something for CC...
