Roethlisberger did not choke....he just played about the same that he had been for the latter part of the season. He had more INT's than TD's in his last 4 games against the Jets (twice), Giants and Ravens. What do you think would happen when he faced the Pats in a championship game. Polamalu was not outta postion, he was doing what he was taught to do, he jumps routes all the time and is encouraged to do so, had he not jumped the routes, the plays still would have gone for long gains. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't.
