Perterson should have nothing done to him regarding skipping classes. The fact is over 90 percent of college students skip classess. I know i have and its stupid that just because its a football player the teachers calls the coach. When I would skip a class i dont remember any professor calling loooking for me. I wonder if the prof called all the students that werent in class that day. Tha same can be said for conner, unless he threatened somebody give a fine, and move on. If he was a regular college student then he would have gotten a small fine and thats it. I know I have seen it happen. But once again its a big name at a college program and he might not play all year. And you can get mad at paterno or stoops because they have to be hard on kids or else the media will tear them apart.

No, PSU does not need Connor against Central Michigan. BUT, Connor needs to play in a game before the conference games start. Paterno knows he just can't start against Northwestern on the road as his first game back. Got to have an "exhibition" game first. You know, to work out the kinks. It's all in paterno's master plan.

It depends on the number of classes Peterson skips, really. Missing one or two classes here and there isn't necessarily a crime, but making it into a regular habit that is done on a weekly (or daily) basis should be addressed.
And I agree that Conner should be suspended until October 1. But why point out just PSU when just about EVERY big time college program does it?

Yes college isnt like high school.
It is not a law that you have to go to every class. I have had classes with kids who only showed up on test days and you know what as long as they get the grade they need that is all that matters in college. Eligibility is based on grades not class attendance.

Being 16 years your elder, I think you should listen to my wisdom. We are living in a society where society makes the rules. That being true, Moldo, it does not make it okay. However, it makes it less significant. Where's the morals come from whenever society decides "its okay for Billy West or HB Blades or Curtis Enis or Alan Zemeitis to skip a few classes as long as it's not a habit"? If society makes the rules... what's right and wrong? We're just humans, man. People make mistakes. They entertain the cute secretary at the office when she flirts, even though you're both married. They admit Bedford will beat their beloved Rangers and cast aside team spirit. They make prank calls to people because it's funny.

Again. Skipping class is not a crime. What Connor did is viewed as one by the police and the victim. What else can I say?

Laws are just rules, Moldo. Peterson broke the rules. He broke team laws.

What are the Oklahoma rules for NOT attending class? Are they interpreted and punished through the Office of Judicial Affairs?

I have NO trouble with peterson being punished for skipping class. But what does that have to do with this topic about Connor having his punishment reduced to benefit HIM and Penn State football?
