Northwestern is a winnable game, and so is Illinois. If PSU takes those two, they should be able to take one out of the other six conference games, perhaps even two with a little luck, to be bowl eligible this year. They certainly have the schedule for it.

Penn State will win seven games. The question is will the sixth win come with Purdue, Wisconsin, or Illinios. If it comes with Purdue or Wisconsin they will beat Pitt. But if it doesn't come 'till Illinios Pitt COULD beat them to six but I think pitt will win any where from three to six games this year depending on when they turn it around. I have to say Penn State gets it.

Wonder how the NITS are doing sleeping in strange rooms for the 1st time since November 2004? Hope they're asleep. They had a busy day. Flying for the 1st time in a while, into a different time zone, practicing on a strange field. And jet lag. My God the jet lag!!!!!

Two more wins and the Lions are going bowling. If Pitt wins five more games, they might still not be bowl eligible. They need six more wins. But their schedule is looking different after South Florida blew out Louisville. I guess that means the Big East remains a joke (since even Louisville isn't that good), and that Pitt's schedule is tougher, since both Louisville and South Florida are capable of blowing them out.

I totally agree, Ham. You don't just have an off day and get blown out by South Florida. "I'm really sorry, everybody, I guess this just isn't our week."
So, since Penn State handled South Florida, and USF blew out Lousville 45-14, I guess that means PSU could beat Louisville by about 70-14. Still think PSU can't hang in the Big East? A conference, I might add, that is now relying on West Virginia yet again. But their reliable. They beat East Carolina by about 5 points.

After next week, only ONE to go? Shows you how far the mighty have fallen. Five years ago, a 6 win season would have been a disgrace for Penn State. NOW it's a goal.
