Well, if teams want to play a high level of football, the Big Ten is where it's at if you're in the northern part of the midwest, as far as location goes. Pitt in the SEC wouldn't make sense, location wise, as they are a good 10 hour drive from the NEAREST SEC team. But then again, BC is in the ACC, and they are pretty far out there. I don't know why the SEC would want Pitt, as Pitt would probably be another Vandy or UK in the SEC football wise. The SEC and ACC all play a level of football as high as the Big Ten, and the Big 12 is pretty close most years (though they are a bit down this year). The PAC 10 is overrated (USC is much of the reason why), and the Big East is just plain bad without Miami, Virginia Tech, and Boston College.
