I really do question the educations you bozos got in high school. It be no surprise to me to find out many of you weren't even accepted at a community college. Then some of you theoretically graduated from West Virginia. Allow me to explain this to you idiots: AND I QUOTE:

That's right, Pitt alumnists who are braindead, re-read that and try to read between the lines. Penn State will NEVER allow that football program to fall by the wayside when Paterno leaves. There is too much money at stake. That football money currently, as has always, been the life's blood of the university's ACADEMICS. Penn State University is a very respected university. How this eludes you dimwits, I have no idea. There is NO WAY Penn State is going to allow a sub-par program to exist in beaver Stadium. Why do you think there were so many rumors about the administration putting the heat on paterno to retire or get thrown the hell out of there? I guess you think it's just JoePa's lightbulb finally flashing that gave him the idea to play those kids and change the offense. He is not even calling those plays. It is because of PRESSURE from the media and especially the administration that led to Galen Hall and Jay Paterno taking that trip to UT in the offseason to learn the UT offense. Those two are the ones pulling the strings on that offense. Please think about things before you make an idiot out of yourself. There's no way, no how, that the university is going to let some bozo run that program into the dirt after Joe leaves. Even during our "terrible" years, Paterno packed the house and won recruiting battles. When he's gone, they will absolutely dish out a retarded amount of money to whoever takes his place. Whether that being Bradley getting his shot, or some NFL coach. Use your heads.

I agree with Heaven and Hoops that a large part of the reason for Penn State's success this year is due to Michael Robinson and his ability to lead the team and make plays in crunch time. During the Michigan game, Penn State was down 21-18 with a few minutes left in the game. Michael Robinson leads a scoring drive to put a touchdown on the board and take a 25-21 lead and put PSU in control of the game with a minute left. All they had to do was hold serve on defense and save the touchdown. We all know it didn't happen, but it doesn't take away from M-Rob making plays under pressure in Ann Arbor.

Also, Michael Robinson, while unlikely to get drafted as a QB (though it's possible), may get looks from NFL teams as a wide receiver (think Randle El or Matt Jones).

how do i know penn state players are good? i have eyes. i have a television set. seriously, its not hard to recognize a guy who has incredible talent like tamba hali or paul pozluzny or jay alford or dan connor or michael robinson or alan zemaitis. how bout ethan kilmer on special teams? penn state has some good players. more than other teams? i dunno. enuff to win 10 games? yes.

psu recruiting is still up in the air right now. they are in the mix for some big time line prospects which is their main area of need. i do agree that it is suprising that psu has not cashed in recruiting wise on such a successful year on the field. i think that, if psu continues this success next year, current top 100 juniors will be very interested in what penn state has to offer. ill wait until LOI day to assess what psu has done recruiting for this class.

its open for debate whether penn state can continue winning once joe steps aside. if a competent coach is hired, the job should be much easier than that of what the basketball program is going through right now since the football team has such a strong tradition. i do find it interesting that hollywood, who once thought penn state could never win again with joepa, now thinks they can't win w/o him.

About next year: PSU had 4 seniors on the Big Ten FIRST team defense this season, and two honorable mention. Not only is this over half of their defense, but these were QUALITY veterans too. Someone's gonna tell me that these guys are going to be easily replaced, by second stringers who did not really play that much, or by NEW recruits coming onboard this spring. And with the loss of Michael Robinson, does anyone really think that next year will be as successful and 2005??

Moldo, it's doubtful that they will do as well next year as they have this year. But they should still be in the hunt for a decent late December bowl game with 7 or 8 wins, provided they keep it all together. When almost any team loses that much talent, it's hard for them to not have a drop off.

Look at Auburn. They've had a little bit of a dropoff since losing three guys in the FIRST ROUND of the NFL draft. They've done very well to come in with a 9-2 record and probably a decent early January bowl game. And that's not as much dropoff as was expected. Most people thought Auburn would go 6-5 to 8-3, but certainly no better than that. Sometimes coaching has a role to play in it too...
