Getting you to accept when you're wrong is an impossibility. In your mind you know you're wrong, but you will never admit it. Making up a comment that Dick Vitale supposedly stated is just the beginning of your cover up. You're so dense that you actually start to believe your own lies.

The OFFICIAL court size (playing dimensions) in both High School and College are 84ft in length by 50ft in width. THIS IS FACT. Get ahold of the official court & diagram book from the PIAA - it's in there. Either your court is official or its not. Please check the facts instead of the Dick Vitale Bible.
Even if you hate that I'm right, just think for a minute. Why would the PIAA allow a game to take place on a larger court after having played 27 games on a regulation court? Honestly, do you not think Coaches would have a problem with this?? Think before you speak.

Ever play or see a game on the Ferndale court? Ever play or see a game at the Altoona Fieldhouse. Both high school courts. You're telling me those courts are the same size. I know the building dimensions are different and so are the courts.

Please listen to me, please. You just gave two perfect examples of completely OFFICIAL courts. Yes, that right, both Ferndale and Altoona are official. They both measure 84 feet in length and 50 feet in width PLAYING SURFACE. Some of you are getting confused because of the size of the gym. Size of gym and playing dimensions are not the same. Obviously, SFU is gigantic as opposed to some High School gyms, such as Ferndale. However, the actual playing surface is exactly the same.
Guys, you can argue this until you're blue in the face. I've given you the official dimensions as stated in the official Court and Field diagram guide supplied by the PIAA.

That might be the regulation size court but after having played on Ferndale's court, the old War Memorial floor and the Altoona Fiedlhouse floor, there's no way the palying surface of those courts is the same, regardless of the buildings size.

Penn State was also a powerhouse before this year right? I mean their 7 wins in the previous 2 years combined was just amazing. If you had been around for more then the few months than what you have, you'd realize that my avatar has not changed since 2003. I also like the Pirates, buddy. Don't try to tell me they are a "frontrunner".

Well going back to the game enough of this how long and wide the court is talk the fact is can you play the game. As for the game on tuesday was one of the best games Ive seen all season. A 3 pointer at the buzzer break a tie against your rivals and the students storming the court, there is no bigger thrill for an 18 year old athlete than that. Moving to the D6 championship game. I think McCort will defend its D6 title this saturday with great play from pete o'connor and and mike cruz. Note that there are 4 players back from the championship team a year ago that played substantial roles last season. Also note that McCort beat BEA at McCort in OT during the regular season.

The reason that the kids get to play on a bigger court is because it's the District Title game is supposed to be a treat for the teams' accomplishment... and because they need alot of room to hold all those fans.
I assume that Ferndale's court is about 75 x 45. Maybe a Jacket fan could help us out. JHS' court may be a bit larger than most high schools in the area, as well as Altoona's.
SOUR GRAPES: BM's Spangler hit the 3-pointer with almost two seconds left, and the refs didn't grant WH a timeout. I don't like saying much negative about officials, but the refs sucked in many ways that night, and conveniently not granting the timeout was inexcusable.
Also, as in just about every other basketball game I've ever seen -- 16 more foul shots means one team fouled more than the other. If "Jamie Dixon"'s team wouldn't hack the other team and disrespect the refs so much, then maybe they would have won a little bit more fairly and by a larger margin.
Good luck to all teams in the district and state playoffs.
