No OP can't say I agree with you. I hope they have another year just like they had last year, and if the next 100 years were like that I wouldn't shed one tear. Ya gotta love it when you recruit and still can't win, He :D He :D .

Where is the Sheriff when you need him? Probably eating some wings at the Haven...

Oldsport..I guess you haven't learned anything from your time here on BC. They don't "recruit", they "sponsor", and judging from the Huskies success from last year they better get a few pages out of the Crimson Crusher's sponsorship playbook.

Speaking of that...I'm still waiting for the invite for my youngsters...they'll be "eligible for Transfer" before we know it! I can place a wanted ad if need be.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

Ok getting totally off the subject of this post ( like that never happens) and maybe this point of view has been brought up before and I missed it , but hey that's possible because I'm a pinhead ,if you don't believe me just ask vman.

So lets say they don't recruit they don't sponsor they don't do anything but sit there with open arms waiting for these kids to come through their door. A kid who wants to go to Johnstown has to live in the Johnstown school district, Richland the Richland school district,Westmont ditto, Forest Hills ditto, Somerset, Penn Cambria, Central Cambria, Bedford, Cambria Heights ditto. A kid who wants to go to a "private" school can live in all of these places plus many more not mentioned, just open your wallet and your in. But somehow this is not a competitive advantage for these schools.
Public school - Your district, Private school - Any district = Level playing field. Yeah right.

Just because this arguement is brought up often doesn't make it either weak or wrong. It has to be clear to everyone that a school that has the ability to enroll ANY student from ANY school district has a POTENTIAL competitive advantage. How that school chooses to use (or not use) that advantage says a great deal about the institution.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

please stick of the subject..."week 1 predictions"...and drop the R-word crap! (we still havent even seen any games yet!)

Its still wayyyyy to early to crown anyone, anywhere!

as for the 'city championship' i believe it should be close than it has been...maybe ever! look for the crushers to be 3-0 while Westy, Reed, and Richland all split 2-1

Bedford over Somerset - Low scoring game, probably decided by a turnover.
Forest Hills over BM - High scoring affair, Probably decided by a turnover.
PC over BC - Carroll was so bad last year can't pick them yet.
Richland over BG - First year and LHAC for BG and they only had 3 wins last year.
Westy over CH - New coach same result for the Highlanders.
Jtown over CC - Gotta give the home field officiating oops sorry I mean advantage to Jtown.

Let oldsport alone. He sounds just like your boy WPIAL-Titan when you two tear up the Nitters on a weekly basis. Same dumb@$$ $#!t over and over and over again...

He probably picked PC and FH for the same reasons I did. BC was HORRIBLE last year, and it takes a lot to turn around a program that was that bad that quickly. And if FH has anything on offense, can tackle half decently on defense, they should run away with the game tonight. BM showed me very little vs. a very down Bedford squad last Friday. THAT'S what I'm going off of.
