Tough final frame for the pens here: Minnesota, Detroit, Colorado, Philly, and I believe Tampa, I'm not positive on that last one and sorry if I'm incorrect. At any rate I would like to see three things happen: I would like to see Crosby eclipse 115 points, I would like to see them eclipse 52 wins and last and most importantly I would like to see letang get at least a game in before the playoffs. I will start off with Crosby, this is a very achievable goal it would be somewhere around 2 and 1/2 to 3 ointment per game. Why do I think this is important? He needs to hit his scoring/playmaking stride when they hit playoffs. Reason being after two consecutive bounces from the playoffs a lot of the blame has fallen on Pittsburghs big guns (I disagree) so he will need to prove himself. Pittsburgh should have their sights set in winning all five of their remaining games but I think setting it to at least three of the five is a more realistic goal. Just like Crosby, they need to hit their stride as a team and they have a lot to prove. Last but definitely not least: kris letang. I know this is going to garner some controversy but hear me out. If kris letang doesn't get at least one game of full contact, full strength hockey in (preferably against an aggressor out these teams like Philly or colorado) I think he should just forget about playoffs and wait til next year. There are two reasons first one being the obvious, he hasn't seen game like hockey for a while, he won't be horrid obviously but he might not be at the fitness level he needs to be and he might be a slight liability. Second one being the deeper one. Letang has always been on the chopping block for his offensive minded defense and his unwillingness to sometimes play on the defensive side at all, I have criticized him before, now people are trying to get him canned saying he is milking it. I think this is where sports go wrong, fans see players as an item and if they aren't meeting expectations they are worthless. I totally disagree with this, this man just had a stroke, yes it's minor and yes he has been cleared but listen to someone who knows the heart is nothing to fiddle with. I think it's time for some of us to look at it like this man is recovering and we should be backing him and supporting him all the way. Either way, those are just some points not the backstretch of the season.

Minnesota deserves to be in the playoffs. A powerful, aggressive team. Penguins have no answer for their aggression

Pittsburgh draws Columbus in the first round. Good draw, Columbus is pretty good defensively but I doubt that they can keep up with Pittsburgh offensively. Detroit could beat boston. My prediction: Pittsburgh and Montreal in cfinals
