Yeah, McCort/Portage would be a great game...Only if McCort plays its JV team the whole game, then I'd only take McCort -7 over the mighty 'Stangs...

Worry about beating North Star first.

Look at this garbage. This Portage fan doesn't even mention beating McCort, and yet, this OVERLY ARROGANT LHAC fan still acts like a d***.

Huh, how 'bout that.

Portage and North Star will be a great game. If Portage easily handles North Star, I see no reason as to why they couldn't beat McCort. This is almost he same North Star team (with a few lineman losses) that came 1 mistake away from beating Serra Catholic, a team that could destroy McCort.

But no, Portage could beat the Steelers and LHAC would still pick McCort over them. Which brings me to, McCort-Steelers, Super Bowl! Be there to witness some good 'ole Steeler whooping.

I have news for you...Serra was not a great team last year. WPIAL class A was the weakest in memory last year.

Don't flatter yourself just because North Star hung with Serra, the worst WPIAL A champ in the last decade+. They stunk. Had North Star played one of the good Rochester, Farrell, or Duquesne teams, they would've had 50 dropped on them.

You saw what Steel High did to Serra in the finals. A monster beating by 3+ TDs.

Portage and McCort are both rediculously good at football. Im sure if the two teams ever meet in a matchup in the playoffs the world will explode, thats how great they both are. Then when all the dust settles, the entire Steelers team will be all that is left.

Let me retort. Portage at North Star, good for the WestPac Conference, good for Johnstown area football. LHAC conference is tougher, but
it should be due to all of the schools are bigger!!!! Bishop Carroll, Guilfolyle and McCort have a distinct advantage over all other schools in
the in viewing area because they recruit players (good players from neighboring high schools). Just ask Blacklick Valley or the Johnstown area
schools who lose players to the catholic schools. With that said, if I had a say, which I don't, all of the catholic schools would play 3AAA or above
athletics. If Sierra Catholic was weak last year, I don't know what a strong team is, they were state runner-ups!!!!!! McCort got knocked out in
the first round of the inter-district playoffs last year as did North Star. Now McCort is 1A and North Star is 2AA. That makes alot of sense when
you consistently take the area best athletes and give them scholarships to play sports. North Star was a better team then McCort was last year!!
Too bad they don't play this year. Go North Star.

In the third quarter:

Portage 36
NS 28

So how exactly was North Star a better team? And how do you give high school athletes scholarships?
