What have we been saying for years about PSU's pass coverage? Ya know what, its not Penn State's fault that so-called genius Jim Tressel played Pryor over Boekman when they had monster success against the CBs in the past.

The bottom line is that Lydell Sargent sucks. Tony Davis is decent. Neither are good enough, IMO, to cover someone like a blanket. But at the end of the day, they beat Ohio State. Part of every game is how the OTHER team performs. No game is perfect on either side. If it was, you'd score a TD on every snap.

I want to make things very clear, even for the PSU guys who are trying to find weaknesses in their own team. Number 1, this team has been doing things that past PSU teams have failed to do. Not just wins, little stuff. Number 2, Joe Paterno's track record against top players is very well documented. Even against McCoy or Bradford or whoever else, I like the fact that Joe and the staff HAS done a good job against them. They have TWO more massive defensive obstacles this season: Shonn Greene and Javon Ringer.

I love how everyone is saying "Alabama will lose, yadda yadda, Penn State better hope they play Alabama". Do you people seriously not realize how good of a coach Nick Saban is? You should LOVE Nick Saban. Saban is the kind of coach EVERY team needs right now, b/c he does what he wants, he's basically a drill sargent, and he wins games up front. On top of all that, Saban isn't a "gosh darn" crybaby. I'll take Alabama over ANY of these teams you guys think are going to kill Penn State or Alabama. All Nick Saban has done was gone on the road and demolished two top 10 teams. They are gonna kill LSU. And when they play Auburn, you are feel like you are watching Paul Rhodes when he gives up 700 yards of offense.... again.

I'd like to know what Penn State and Alabama have done this season that you people are so gung-ho for whoever they play in bowl games.

1st of all, I know what PSU has left to face. I know they need to take care of business. But Green and Ringer run the ball. I'll put PSUs' front 7 up against any offense. It's the secondary or lack there of it that worries me. I agree with you about 'Bama and Saban. But you said it yourself, they beat you upfront. PSU matches up much better with that type of team. There are 2 major differences between this PSU team, and the PSU teams of the early 90's,'82,'86, etc. 1st, look back at the game tapes, the secondaries they had woulda listed, Sargeant and Davis no higher than 3rd on their depth chart, and 2nd, this will be the 1st meaningful bowl game that Bradley had to gameplan for. Lets wait and see if he's deserving of the reigns when Joe leaves. I'll still put my stock into Schianno,or a Butch Davis before I'd call Bradley, but that's just my opinion.
