I keep thinking about the CC play that got them 6-7 yards on 3rd and 8 towards the end of the game... If I saw correctly, they had 2 wr's right, 2 running backs in the backfield with the QB in a shotgun formation, and a wing (so to speak) playing off the ball behind the left tackle.
It looked sort of like this....
x x o x x y
z x
qb rb rb
That would be an illegal formation. I may have missed where the z guy was though so I could be wrong. They came out, I watched the play, then I started trying to think about what the formation was and I think it was this...
The CC line opened up some holes and the OSaben kid ran really well. He sets kids up in the open field really well. Good game to watch tonight... CC played close to the vest after going up 27-7 and just tried to run clock. Tyrone took advantage and got on the board, but CC just sort of went into chill mode to speed up the game. They were mighty impressive!

The McCort/Bellwood game was a great high school football game! Back and forth big play after big play and Bellwood played tough but in the end the Crushers came up with a big defensive stand and then on 4th and 2 with 1:20 left Bellwood jumped offsides and McCort kneeled from there. Next week should be great either 11-0 McCort vs 12-0 Purchase Line or 11-0 McCort vs 12-0 Portage
And as i said with Wasilewski back C.C. could beat Tyrone and be a sleeper team in D6 AA and i think they'll beat the Fh/Central winner next week

Consensus of myself & all BM fans I talked to was a big Hats off to BA! In particular their qb (tough kid)made several big plays in a back & forth classic. BA's D was clearly well prepared & sure tackling. If memory is correct, teams alternated scores all eve; shame someone had to lose!

game went just as i thought it would...defense and some big plays mixed in between.
How about Dane Domonkos's longest run ever for 5 yards....that was impressive.
Gotta give some shoutouts to some players....McAneny played a great defensive game all over the field. And Schrey came up with a couple of big throws. Good game
Heading out to Portage tonight hooping to see another good one.

I was dissapointed in the Tyrone Centra lCambria game tonight. I am sorry but the way Tyrone looked in th first half was HORRIBLE. This team for the past three years was very over rated and I believe they were this year to. CC played a heck of a game and capialized on almost every istake Tyrone made and there were a lot.
I have never seen a Tyrone team play that bad against the play action passing. My god every time they ran play action CC recievers were 20 yards behind the safetys. It looked very bad. CC QB could of won an oscar for he act he was putting on with the play action the way he made Tyrone s secondary look.
Then Tyrone scores late in the second quarter to set the half time score of 27-7. Now sitting there as a spectator you think of maybe Tyrone has got their act together and we will get to see a game in the second half. But CC comes out and their openin play they run the ball RIGHT up the MIDDLE and the Osaben kid goes UNTOUCHED. Now common seriously whoever was at this game can contest to this.
I give props for Tyrone Dominating from 11:00 minutes left in the third until the end of the game.
I am sorry but this wasn't the game I thought I was going to see.

Maybe the reason for Tyrone doing so bad against the play action was the fact that they were looking run first. Wouldnt you look run first if you played against a team that ran the ball 80% of the time, and had a 1500 rushing back in Osaben? CC capitalized on that and mixed things up, confusing the golden eagles. Great play calling by the CC coaches if you ask me. Granted Osaben still had 270 yards rushing, and Wasilewski only threw for over 100 yards, I would say that Tyrone just couldnt stop the run. As Goldenboy said earlier, everytime Osaben runs for over 100 yards CC has won, and it wasnt any different this game.
