CT, I can appreciate your credentials about football and basketball and I agree with you that officiating is different in different districts. i can also understand to a point of you not officiating in Somerset County if that is where you live and if you have some issues with the schools you grew up playing against. But on the other hand I still have a problem with the constant criticizing of the refs withpout being specific. I know you have mentioned that the reason of the remarks is your believe that the refs have a bias against CT. Are these refs that are against CT form the Somerset Chapter, like from local schools that would have this built in bias against CT? If they are, then why not join them and show by example that you can be a good offical when you let go of the hostilities from the past and "solve" the problem from within instead of just whining about them and NOT doing anything to help out the situation. Be a part of the solution instead of not doing anything at all.

Please indian, Im the one that hides behind a screen name? Im the one that wont confront someone face to face? How would i like it if you jumped down my throat? Im sorry im not a pansy **** little **** that lets what someone says about me effect the way i feel. For real man. Grow a set and dont be so dang sensative as to what people say. And no i dont feel powerful behind a screen name but your just mad i called you out because your a little whiny baby ''must be a township thing to be a little whiny baby who complains about why they lose because i've never heard anyone other than people from CT find such excuses for why they lose'' Im sorry there bud, but your little indians lose on there own account because to be quite honest they dont play very hard, and from what you said they fight like llittle babies between themselves, again a township thing. They lose the games themselves along with there coach not knowing anything about basketball. Im sorry i called you out but i calls em like i sees em. If it looks like an indian, and acts like an indian, and cries like a little baby like an indain, THEN, MY FRIEND, IT MUST BE A dang INDIAN!!!

So, you avoidin answerin this ctindian?.....you thinkin the indians are going to be the 3 seed in D5? afraid to answer the question posed to you about the basketball team....you've been so busy talkin about yourself that you must've missed this....
DrJerkyllMrHide wrote:... you think they can make it to the 3rd seed in D5.
So who do they have to get by in the D5 playoffs to make it to that 3rd seed? You've thought about this? YES?

I appreciate that Philip's dad, and I completely understand where you are coming from.

Sorry, Mr. Hide. I was not avoiding answering your question. I was away for the weekend fulfilling my military duties and didnt have time to get on BC. Now, to answer your question. Yes...I do THINK they can make it to the 3rd seed, if they can continue playing like they did against North Star last week. If they manage to pull the upsept against Conemaugh Valley on tuesday, or even come close to the same team that embarrassed them a few weeks back, I think they'll have the confidence they need to win a few games in the postseason.
It all depends on how the bracket works out. I know the non WestPAC teams have about 5 teams or so in the bracket, but we dont know a whole lot about them. With the exception of Southern Fulton, none of those teams made it past the first round last year, or even in to the playoffs and in football this year, they were all seeded high becuase of records and didnt do much in the playoffs. So it all depends on how these teams can match each other.
Forbes Road has to win at least on of their last 2 games to make the playoffs, i think. From the rankings on the D5 site they were 9-7 and lost after those rankings came out. So at 9-8 they have to go 10-9 or they wont make it in.
If they do. then from the looks of it right now the playin-games might look something like:
(7) Berlin vs
(10) Forbes RD
and
(8) Rockwood vs
(9) Shanksville
Making the brackets look like (if high seed wins):
(1) Shade vs
(8) Rockwood
(4) Northern Bedford vs
(5) Southern Fulton
(2) Tussey Mountain vs
(7) Berlin
(3) Fannet Metal
(6) Conemaugh Township
If that is the case, the Bracket could play in CTs favor becuase the 2 teams with the biggest psychological advantage over CT would be Shade and Southern Fulton. If CT can pull the upset at Fannet Metal, than its just as likely that Berlin can upset Tussey Mountain becuase those two teams are equal.
But regardless, if CT makes it past round 1 and can face Tussey or Berlin on a neutral court and play the way they have been playing lately, that could push them into the Championship and lock in a top spot....if they face Tussey and lose...that would set up a likely rematch with Southern Fulton, which would be tough for CT, but that I still believe they could win.
So...to answer your question: If CT can make it past the first round and pull that upset (which will by no means be easy) than all they have to do is win 1 of their next 2 to make it to the State playoffs. So YES, i do think it CAN happen....but i wont go so far as to say that I necessarily think it WILL happen.

I have NOT seen CT play this year, but I have seen F-M play and they are very impressive. They just beat Tussey tom=night on their own floor I would be willing to bet that if CT has to play F-M in Willow Hill, there will NOT be an upset!!

What about Northern Bedford. As of the new rankings...CT moved up to 5 and could play northern bedford

I saw that CT moved into fifth place. IMO CT would have a better chance of getting past NBC than F-M.

Rockwood won elimintating them from having to play in a play-in game correct?
Berlin lost to Salisbury (Big Surprise there)
SF lost to TM (expected this one)
What effect do those to games have on the play-in match-ups?
CV and Blacklick both lost tonight. Including NS which one of those 3 will play in the WestPac game vs Shade?

I would not take tussey or nbc too light. Both of these squads are capable of playing with anyone in the district 5 A playoffs.I personally think that the sidling hill is deep in single A teams this particular year.Shade should be the overall favorite but don't underestimate tussey ,nbc or forbes as I would bet one of these 4 will win the gold in district 5 a in the end.
