Portage is a District 6 school. The Mustangs would love to play in District 5 but it just doesn't look like it will ever happen. Ferndale, Conemaugh Valley, Blacklick Valley, and Portage are the only District 6 schools in the West Pac which is comprised of District 5 schools. It really only seems logical that these 4 schools join District 5, they are locked into the West Pac and play almost an entire District 5 schedule. And, they are all mid to smaller Single A schools, not unlike the majority of District 5 schools.
