You obviously didn't play against either of them...
BM was mostly a running team while J. Cruz played and chose to air it out a little bit more with Mike.
Either way, both are playing college ball, and I (probably any coach who planned for them) would run double-tights with these two all day...

speaking statistically and watching both of them play, they never really did much recieving wise, and blocking wise they clearly were not that great either, i would argue m cruz was overall better on the defensive side. I would put valchef in terms of high school production above them

Let's just put it this way. We have had a lot of great players throughout the years. WAY TOO many to name. Everyone of the players were great to their respective schools. Every list will be leaving out someone who is great.

OOOh! OOOh! I have an idea! Start a thread (BM first, of course, ) listing any readers' preferences for their best players at any given position, and maybe include the yr. they graduated for those that may not remember. That would give any and all lots of "food for thought". Go back 10 years, 15, ??? Darn, most of you were in diapers and can't remember that far. It was just a thought.

User had a pretty solid list. One running back that should get mentioned i think is McKlosky from Westmont.
i like the linebacker list as well, maybe throw Josh Miller in there. QB list is spot on same with RB.

For the sake of the argument...
M. Cruz - 44 rec 517 yards 10 tds
Valcheff - 36 rec 602 yards 4 tds
J. Cruz - can't get stats, but remember he LED BM to a win of Jtown with 100 yds receiving
I'd take any TE coming out of BM or Westmont, throw Rossi('06 westy grad playin down at Ship') in the mix too!
