Of all teams that entered stats, Dylan Link was #1 in the state for steals. Impressive feat. I can't really argue and like I said my list basically was just an attempt at one He could easily be on it. When I watched BC they were a good TEAM. Not many individuals, but if any stuck out, it was him. He's a very good player. And for LHAC players Vigneault was 2nd and Galagher was 7th in the State in scoirng. (For teams that entered stats.)

I for one, am surprised LG was that high. He didn't have those explosive 40+ games he had last year, the last dozen games were against box -n- 1, triangle -n- 2, tight man 2 man, his outside game was off compared to what we saw earlier, and to still end up # 7. Hmmm.

You have to take into consideration when a player that is good has a team defense designed to stop him, or slow him down, he won't get 40, but that is a good team player and he is helping others on the team step up to the plate. Coaches aren't stupid and sit back and let l.g. get 40 and win. All coaches should try to slow down great players and never let them into a rhythm. It doesn't mean he isn't a top player anymore just because his average drops because he is a marked man!!!

I agree, he definitely WAS a marked man. We in Ranger nation were spoiled by his last year's performances. No doubt about it. He has had a phenomenal career, capped off by what should have been an MVP performance in the Mirror allstar game tonight. As a Ranger fan, I feel compelled to be more critical of "our" players because I hope for / expect better of them. We won't see another the likes of Luke Gallaher for many years, I'm afraid.

Manfred, we probably won't see a player of his athletic ability for awhile.. but that doesn't mean there won't be some kids who can play ball. Gallaghar was the best player around, but sometimes I think he relied too much on his athleticism, and when he played kids of equal athleticism or near it, he was less than stellar.(Johnstown). He didn't seem to have as good of a overall game or the ability to hit contested shots in big games against good defenders. I'm as big of a Ranger fan as anyone, and will be the first to admit Luke almost single handedly broke the FH basketball championship drought, but I'd take Jordan Miller from CC over him in a heart beat, no matter how much more athletic Luke is.

Well, he was just named MVP of the Ameri-serv game @ UPJ, though I sort of thought it was his to give away before the opening tip. Kind of like the example of the big fish in the little pond. On another note, what happened to Derrick Malzi? He was suited up, and sat the bench, but didn't participate in warmups or play in the game. The announcer may have said, but I was "indisposed" at the time and may have missed it.

Slipped disc in his neck. Although i disagree with the MVP choice, I wasn't impressed with Gallagher. There were a few kids with more impressive games.

Jordan was better than Gallagher. He had more control of a game, and didn't have to rely athletic ability but relied on his Basketball ability....which was pretty good. He could handle himself against better athletes because his shot was lethal and is a great ball handler.
Jordan nearly had 1,000 his Senior year alone.
7 40 point games, 1 50 point game. 7 30 point games.

That was Balog and I believe he had 41 against Cambria Heights.
Miller's 50 plus on Forest Hills is the one that sticks out to me.
