D5 AA games- TM vs CT and NBC vs Ridge

CRBL Baseball, ridiculous behavior, like your arrogant post, is exactly the reason most people in the area have a strong distaste for Chestnut Ridge. As the third largest school in D5, your athletic programs should do a lot more winning than they actually do, especially in football, wrestling, and basketball. Before winning districts in wrestling this year, how long had it been since your last championship? 28? 29 years? I can't even remember.

Your football program is, for lack of a better term, a complete joke, but you did win a AA semi-final basketball game against a school that is barely, and only recently AA, and has approximately 60 less boys and 100 less kids in total enrollment than Ridge.

Get a grip, buddy. Good luck against Township in the D5 Finals, and stop rushing onto BleacherCoaches to write arrogant reviews of your wins. Then again, since you are a Ridge guy, you probably won't have many opportunities anyway. Carry on.

What was so arrogant about his post? He gave a recap of the game. And even wished the NBC coach good luck and gave them credit, i may be missing something but it doesn't seem arrogant to me.

You wrote that CR has approximately 60 more boys than NBC. It's actually 55.

NBC has 77 more boys than Williamsburg, and NBC has 52 more boys than Moshannon Valley. But I would assume that's okay in your eyes?

Most of all, you have direspected the kids who have worked very hard all year long in football and basketball.

You owe an apology to NBC and CR. And I hope to God you're not from Central. If you are, please move. We don't want you here.

Congrates go out to coach meck and the team. They played a great game. I hope they do well in the final. with that said i seen" disrespect" mentioned in earler posts. NBC had 2 kids foul out and the CR fans jumped up out there seats and point and yelled and clapped at the kids to have a seat. Would that be disrespectful to a 16 year old kid?
It was great to watch 2 slams in last nights game. one by NBC that didnt count because it was a mila-second after the buzzer and one from CR.
I would also like to add and this is not at all to take away from the great game CR played,CR created havoc with there 131 defense which ultimatly won them the game, but NBC had to play most of the game -NOT playing -nbc had 2 guys foul out and 2 with 4 fouls. Infact nbc never got out of the 1in1 on the line as which CR did get the double bonus fairly early in both halves. CR had a 12 to 4 advantage on fouls at the end of the third(fouls just from that half). Im just saying its hard to play aggressive when you afraid to foul out.

Every school, including NBC and Ridge, have some fans that are idiots. Don't assoicate an entire school with some fans. It was a physical game with the referees letting way too much go. They lost some control of the game at the end of the 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter. A lot of kids from both sides could have fouled out. The referees should have regained control of the game.

Good assessment of the game. 1-3-1 with Hengst up front was killing nb. As far as foul trouble both Bosch and Young were in foul trouble for Ridge. The lack of guard play by nb against the press was the biggest problem they had. Second was why did they go to man in the second half? And third if the over boy plays and shoots as hard the whole game as he did the last 3 minutes nb is in the game.

First of all thanks for your comment it really shows the type of person you are. I can see you relied on someone else to carry you through your sports career. Maybe you can explain to me how you play with 5 players in basketball and since any school may be smaller than you you’re automatically beating up on them. So I guess when these boys or girls play AAU ball or any other non -school related activities, the kids from the smaller school just need to set back, because they are just not as good as your team. I’m sure NBC will accept your apology, because they have quite a few players that could play on a AAA team. Maybe this is where you belong as a "Bleacher Coach"………and to all you other Dragon’s I know a lot of you and you truly are good fans!!!

Good game last night,poor officiating though. They let the game get out of hand. NBC's undoing was turnovers,just did not handle the ball well. They have a very nice squad and should have a strong showing again next year. Should be a good one at UPJ on Saturday. I think if Ridge can utilize their size they will have a shot. Gonna need to get the ball to the bigs inside. Nice dunks from both teams last night, pressel and pick kept the crowd entertained!

Congrats to speigle for getting 1000 points in the tussey game. You are a great ballplayer and a total team player that most coaches wish they had on there team. That is why you are my mvp this year in the somerset county. Everyone knows you could score 30 a game, but you are a total team player that makes your whole team better from your unselfishness and that is why I give you the m.v.p. Boyer is following in your footsteps and is a great player to watch also. He will make first team. Fyock, wade walker, and beiler will all be my 5 for this year as the top 5 with miller, donaldson, duppy, slade, and cooney from berlin as 2nd team.
