Agreed with tubmil. BC has a huge football team, but no band. OK..most schools dont have much of a band anyways, but what about a soccer team? or a basketball team? baseball? track? softball? Volleyball? they dont dominate those sports like they do for football. How come? could it be becuase kids go to BC for one main purpose, to play football and win.

Girls basketball at BC last season were State champs and also played in another state title game. That program has been really outstanding also.

Tubmill, I have more hate for BC than anyone here probably, mostly because of the school I am affiliated with. I'm just saying that they aren't dominant in the LHAC. I did a little math one time and they have something like 40% of their boys playing football.

Sports,
That's amazing....A small school that has that many football players. Most true Class A schools struggle to get 25. Go figure!

Ya. but 40% of their guys play football, how many guys do they have?? there could only be 100 guys total.highly unlikely but still.

But you have to think to yourself, with that % of kids playing football what other reason are they at that school?

That 40% may seem high, but look at Portage. The next two year PIAA cycle shows them having 125 boys in the high school, and they dress 70 to 80 players every year. Now granted they do dress freshman, but that still puts the percentage of boys they have playing football over 40%. I do not know why I am sticking up for BC though. They do not need anymore help.

that is a good point though. CT only has about two buses of football players, which im going to say thats around 50 kids max. thats out of 4 grades too. So the amount of kids that join is pretty relevant to the amount of guys in the school. Portage is a big school, CT is tiny. i dont know how big BC is though. so i cant say anything for them
