S Cube, I just looked it up and Bellwood hasn't lost to an ICC team since they lost to Mo Valley in 2003.

It's my understanding the MAC conference has voted and will not allow CR to join the conference in 2014. However 6 of the schools would still like to schedule CR during their open week. Scheduling options are being presented back and forth.
I also understand that the LHAC will now be a closed conference, only allowing member schools to play other member schools. BRILLIANT! Can someone please provide a good explanation why?
So if all this goes into play, in 2014 CR will remain an independent and the CR / Bedford game will not happen. That's a shame.

Well ridge dad. Its like an sec thing. When your conference is always proclaimed the best why play teams outside of it that can beat you and not look so strong. Aka northern Cambria this year

As with most things, I'd trace the cause to $ - the majority of the league probably believes that they'll get better attendance for conference/local opponents week 10 instead of nonLHAC foes. With Bedford being a big exception to that scenario, and obviously the LHAC doesn't give a hoot about Ridge's situation.
1/2 the LHAC already played week 10 conference foes, the others:
Johnstown (Tyrone)
Bedford (Ridge)
Forest Hills (Philipsburg)
Cambria Heights (Northern Cambria)
Bishop Guilfoyle (United)
Richland (Bellwood)
konjo:
Is it really time to bash LHAC football, after they had both D6 AA finalists and 1 single A finalist?
The final week of the regular season has SEC going outside of the conference to face Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. I don't get how that fits the narrative at all.

Konjo who played in the district 6 championships for A & AA? LHAC is the toughest conference and who cares if they don't go out of their conference to play thats what the district playoffs are for.

Then why change it? Do you really think Bedford or Cambria Heights want that changed? I'm not sure it is about $$ because I guarantee you those 2 schools will have a bigger draw playing their current week 10 opponent than playing any other school in the LHAC...... Know what I'm saying?

I don't know how many votes were needed, but thats 2 only 2 of the 12 schools that would prefer the current setup. The other 10 schools avoid the scheduling problems that Ridge has gone through for years, with 6 of them already doing so for 2012.
