Yah, u would hope a coach adjusts to the style! Heck, some nfl coaches don't though! lol Their are a lot of nice athletes around the area. Teams don't seem to be as strong though! U only have a few at the top and a lot of teams are weak this year.

I never went to so many games to where coaches had starters out at half and a running clock!

If Barnes, Chadbourn, or Donohughe had the protection updyke had against somerset their numbers would have been bad too. All 4 are very talented athletes. I've watched all Somerset games and seen a few others. Chadbourn is a stud. Barnes still makes a few sophomore mistakes but will grow out of that as the season goes on. i wouldnt go by numbers against a somerset defense to start comparing players. Thats a pretty tough task to live up to.

Put Barnes on J-town playing against Somerset he would have a rough night. Somerset has one of the better defenses I have seen in a long time.

Updyke is a pretty good passer and he is not as athletic as Barnes but he can extend plays and hurt you with his feet.

LHAC has some good QB's Updyke, Montgomery, Barnes, Donohughe, Seymor, Chadbourn. First 3 are all underclassmen.

Bedford iI think is down to just 1 Senior playing (Shoemaker) and only had 2 playing during the Somerset game ........4 other Senior's out for the rest of the season ........

I thought the Qb was a senior. During the summer word was he was leaning to a certain college or 2 for baseball. Unless he's really committing early!

Nope he's only 16 and a junior ...... So plenty of time to see which sport he chooses I would think.

Yah, bedford will be tough next year, maybe even beat somerset. But it will be at somerset. Somerset has some good guys back also, but lose some good seniors. They do have a lot of guys on the bench that are good enough to be starting and getting valuable playing time.

Last years richland defense was one of the better ones around in a long time and when somerset played them with barnes, he took it to richland with his feet and arms even at richland. So no lame excuses about tough defenses. Big time players play in big time games no matter how good the team is. And all high school qbs will make mistakes! Heck the pros still make mistakes. But playing good against good teams and winning seperate players in my book! J-town puts in # 7 for updyke and he plays every game. Why is that?? And I feel somerset played the better teams besides bg so far and they passed the test! Fh, bedford, and j-town are no slouches!!
