If anyone who attended the game can clarify on some penalties and that punt situation I would love to hear any explanation :)
The Refs called Daugherty down when trying to recover the ball after muffing it. Questionable call but it had no effect on how the game ended. Smith again was the key to this game and with out him LV still competed but came up short of defeating PM.

had no effect? You are changing a touchdown for pm or safety into a touchback. Game at that point would of been over so i'd say it would of had a big impact on the game.

ScaryGary is wrong. When possession of the football is not taken, which was the case, the punt team can not take possession in the end zone. It is ruled a touch back. Now if PM had recovered the ball prior to the end zone it would have been their ball. And it was a huge play and made a big difference. PMs unsportsmanlike was on an assistant coach. Resulting in LV starting their drive on the 35.

Wow! Wait a second. Fast forwarding to the end of the game and looking back on it, yes it didn't have an effect, if PM would have scored it would have gave them a cushion to what... make it look like they didn't struggle with LV maybe. I was being nice and agreeing with you man. No what a big impact in a game is, getting off a play in under one second with less than 5 down lineman to win the game. You can say all you want about LV, that they don't deserve to play in the heritage and that Beitel is a terrible human being. Leave LV alone cause PM every year runs through the conference anyway so who cares who really plays in it. And leave Beitel be, he's an excellent head coach who knows how the game works and he knows how you all think of him, but you saying all this bad stuff won't stuff LV from winning and trust me he doesn't care what you all think. But PM won 19-12, it was a good game on both sides, just don't whine about winning because you're obviously a PM fan. BG over PM, if PM makes it that far.

The muffed punt call was absolutely the correct call. If PM would've have recovered it BEFORE it crossed the plane of the goal line then they would've had the ball where they recovered it. Since no one recovered BEFORE it crossed the plane then it is ruled a kick that travels into the endzone. Which then makes it LV at the 20 from a touchback. Possession was never established by LV and you can't advance a muffed punt in high school football.

Konjo a punt that is never possessed by the punt return team can not be recovered in the end zone. It is a touch back and then PMs assistant coach was called for an unsportsmanlike penalty this putting the ball on the 35.
