I was told by one of the coaches, that the first game will be next Monday. Girls vs PC.

Good to hear. Anxious to see the new place.

I like the idea of the higher seed playing home games. It helps bring money into their home programs, because they can generate money from a concession stand. It kind of made me mad going to watch games at Bishop Carroll, where they got to run their concession stand and make money for their program. Also, BC's facility is a dump compared to others in the area. Same could be said for other school's hosting playoff games.

I actually like Bishop Carroll's gym. I'd rank that towards the top of the LHAC. It has a regulation sized gym, it's well lit, and has ample seating.
1. Richland - Gold standard of the conference, having a press box in a gym is ridiculously nice.
2. Forest Hills - I'm just assuming it will be nice, the old one was towards the bottom.
3. Johnstown - Plenty of seating, newish. Solid overall gym. Seems they painted it recently, feels brighter than when it first opened.
4. Central Cambria - Plenty of seating, the new floor looks great.
5. Bishop Carroll - New bleachers really help the place. Seems there was a paint job also, makes the place brighter.
6. Bedford - Older, but a lot of seating. I've only been there twice though.
7. Bishop McCort - quirky and small, but the new floor really spruced the place up. The box seat area above the student section is cool.
8. Somerset - They redid it, but it's small for a AAA now AAAA school.
9. Bishop Guilfoyle - quirky, but I like it for some reason. Needs some updates.
10. Westmont - Very small, the one side of bleachers only has like 4 rows.
11. Penn Cambria - Nothing special, having outdoor metal bleachers for the student section looks bad.
12. Cambria Heights - freezing cold, seats only on one side.

The locker rooms at BC and BG are terrible too! I am kind of bias cause I don't think any of the playoffs games should be held at the Bishops. Consider Hollidaysburg on that list. Central Cambria is very nice with the new floor (agree). Richland is beautiful.

Nice layout of the LHAC venues CG. I've been to Richland, JHS, CC, BC, BM and Westy. Pretty accurate. I'd probably drop McCort a little just because it's so small (and HOT). lol.
As for BC's gym, I have to say, I can recall going there when I was following Johnstown teams that were in the old AAAA, Mid-Alleghenies days. Seemed to have playoff rounds there, and it was never a problem.
Richland is definitely the crown jewel.

I'm probably biased, but I think McCort's gym is "nicer" than a lot of the gyms listed higher. It's just smaller.

It does help bring in money. But when a gym only holds 500, and 1/3rd of that is going to be the visiting team. Then then the 500+ additional fans that wanted to go but didn't have room for miss out
