There are other catholic school options if a football player wants a catholic education and play football. Who wants to be on a team that can't win a game or two? My guess is that these BC football players only go there because they know they can't start on their public school district team or start on another catholic school team.

You make it sound like your options are so easy to do. The time, travel, and expense it would take for the parents to send their kid somewhere else for a Catholic education. Some of them have the money, but not everyone that chooses to go to a private school has a boat load of money either. Some of them make hard sacrifices to send their kids there. No one wants to be on a losing team. These kids knew that they were gonna get the crap beat out of them every game. But they showed heart, battled, and didn't quit. I'll give them that much. My guess is that these ebensburg area kids go to BC, because they want a Catholic education first and just happen to love playing football. The majority, if not all, have been in the Catholic education system from the beginning and never been in the public school system. So, your guess that they're not good enough to start on their public school team, for most of them would have been Central Cambria, is laughable. If it was another school besides Central Cambria. I probably wouldn't have used that word. BC almost beat Central Cambria this year.

I'm beyond amazed at these immature attitudes. None of those kids plays for BC because they can't start at the public schools. Again, you do know you are talking about kids here? Either you are a child yourself or you get your jollies by talking smack about teenagers. Most of those kids are there for the Catholic education. Most of them are second and third generation students whose parents send them there because of education and tradition, not because they don't think they can make it on another team. That's ridiculous. NLCE1 is right, those kids knew they were going to get the crap knocked out of them and they went back week after week for more of the same. Those kids love their school in spite of not having a successful season. That says a lot about character which is more than I can say about most of you who find delight in making fun of children.

Roman Lessard, Tim Morris and Trevor Hogue would have started on most teams in the lhac.
