Some of my observations of the pc game:
>although i agree the umps made some bad calls, hunt manager bought them by being loud...didnt see any fight from pc coaches...the squeeky wheel...
>in spite of the bad calls, pc would have over came them if they could catch a pop up...which would have been third out in 7th while still up 3 to 2
>i did hear the pitch count arguement, which sucks that it had to go down but was really a moot point...at 96 pitches he only had 1 batter left anyway
>also agree that the strike zone shrunk which was a shame...Ronan was cruising

Great game today in Ferndale, pitching dominated.  Final Claysburg 3. Ferndale 1 in 11 innings.  

Bellwood beats BG 5-4

Great high school baseball game. BA up 4-0 after 3. BG tied it at 4 in the top of the 4th but left bases loaded.  Top 7 BG had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out,  then bases loaded with 2 outs and Stranded them. BA wins on a walk off error in the bottom of the 7th. Tough way to lose for BG but a well played high school ball game.

Really impressed by the Claysburg pitcher, Tanner Hunt.  He was awesome today.  Ferndale pitcher was really good too.  A lot of good defensive plays in this one, in my opinion.  A few mishaps on both sides, but somewhat expected with a tight game a mistake was going to be costly.  

The two collisions by the Ferndale players were scary, fortunately nobody got hurt.  

Sounds like a very interesting first round! Some good games and a couple upsets in my mind. The second round should be good!
