pitchers who can throw 90

Shauf can definitely throw hard. I doubt he'll ever see 90 though. I'm guessing he throws around 80. I know I wouldn't want to hit against him.

If you are not willing to step in the box against this guy, you may as well hang up your cleats and take up another sport because he's done nothing thus far in high school baseball to impress anybody.

Let'sPlay2, I'm not a baseball player. I hung my cleats up awhile ago. One reason why I wouldn't want to hit against him is because I know he'd hit me :mad: .

Ok, whats ur name letsplay2 is it Cool Coffman??? I was just wondering because i mean ur like what 32 or 35 or somewhere around there?? and im 16 years old, wow i mean seriously i bet that makes u feel big....Let's see why i havent done anything to impress anyone in highschool....lets ponder this a second....well this year the season hasnt even started yet so there wasnt really anyplace or time that i could impress anyone...and two....i believe that i quit last year so i only pitched 4 innings and had 8 k's but since u know so much about me im sure u already knew that...But i must say, i give u credit for making ur team look so good and for also showing a lot of character on your part...let ur players do the talking for you on the field instead of running ur mouth on bleachercoaches......who cares how hard i throw.....i get lots of strikeouts and win games.....isnt that all u have to do??? thats just what i thought...but anyway im out ...........see ya on April 2nd 8)

After reading the posts, I'm not sure why you feel Let'sPlay2 was "running his mouth", he simply stated you haven't done anything to impress anybody in high school baseball and that appears to be true. Although quitting seems to be more accepted by people now adays so maybe they can be impressed by that. Sounds like a hot head to me.

Umm, the last time I checked being a hot head was not the only reason to quit a sport. Family issues, academic problems, and a bunch of other things can encourage a great athlete to quit a sport.

But as for Mooch, he's doing it all out of sarcasm to get all of you fired up, and Deliverance, I'm sure he can back up his talk.

Strike Three, the season starts pretty soon, just wait and see, i'm sure Shauf will impress some people.

I heard Shauf was pretty impressive last night in their scrimmage against Tyrone. As long as he stays eligible, he'll have a great year.

Believe it, even though he may not have attended any of your prestigious "Camp": Shaler Area's Dan Swartzbauer consistently threw his fastball at 91-92 (his slider was 88-89) on the gun at PNC Park in last year's WPIAL AAA Final vs. North Allegheny. He threw consistently for 3 innings at this speed. His speed was right there on the Diamond Vision at PNC Park.

Yes, Swartz was a sophomore. If you don't believe it ask someone who was at the game last spring. He "wowed" the crowd, even though by the time he came in as a reliever, he was pretty much mopping up in a 9-3 Shaler loss to NA.

Swartz is playing SS and DH only this spring. he is not permitted to pitch as he is rehabbing and strengthening his arm to avoid surgery. Hopefully, he will come back stronger than ever next spring as a senior.

Maybe Dan doesn't attend all of the "camps" like you claim that you do, but he sure as heck is one of the hardest throwers as a 14-15 year old that I have ever seen in western PA. If Dan gets his arm back into shape where he consistently throws in the low-90s again, he will get drafted without a doubt. Numerous D1s have already inquired about Dan. Also, Swartz is still growing, which is part of the reason he has had arm problems. He was around 5-10 tall, maybe 160 pounds last year. Now he's just a hair under 6-0 and probably 175.

FYI-Dan's brother is the starting SS for Duquesne University and has been for each of the 4 years he has played there.
