Well, Bedford didn't have some of their good athletes competing Tuesday either. Neither did Berlin if their main sprinter is out. So, I guess we will see when we run again Ridge.

I've been suprised by the performances this week. Considering the weather and being this early there were some top notch marks and times.

I noticed at the Bedford/BA meet that Houser from BA won the 100 and 200.What's up with that?

The Houser boy had some wheels. I was impressed. Had a large step on both Deek and Duff.
By the way who would have thought Duff would run 11.6 in the rain the first meet of the year.

I think that Houser is a returning state qualifier in the 100m. Not surprised at all.

I caught some of the Igloo meet today. The young Kannuch kid from Westmont is amazing. He won the 100,200,and triple jumps. His time in the 100m was 10.9 (FAT) and 10.65 hand timed-WOW. Him and the Wilson kid from Tyrone were the only 2 over 42 feet in the triple jump,I believe both are sophs.

OK

How did the distance races go? 800m, 1600m, 3200m? How did Mock from Westmont fare?

He won the 3200 and broke the Igloo meet record. He was running right behind the guy seeded first the whole time. They were so far ahead of everyone, the next runner behind them was 200 meters behind. At about the 300 mark of the last lap, Mock broke loose and beat the kid he was running behind by 30 or 40 meters. His time was 9:14.. It was insane!

back to results...the bedford boys put a spanking on penn cambria, cambria heights, and central this afternoon. the scores were something like 126-24, 112-38, and 141.5-8.5 respectively....for somereason tho, penn cambria left 4 or 5 of their best atheletes at home, the only one i know of that had a good reason was Holsperger who is getting ready for the up coming penn relays
