AE, hasn't anybody taught you that records can be deceiving, and that they are meaningless when the season hasn't begun. Hmm, Chestnut Ridge high school is 0-0 in the LHAC, and they didn't give up a single point to an LHAC team. Is that good defense? This team is also 0-0 in the NFL, and hasn't given up a single point to an NFL team. With an even record like that, could they beat the Carolina Panthers or the Miami Dolphins, both of which have lost 7 or 8 games? Do they have a better defense than those two teams since they haven't given up a point to an NFL team?
Not all teams are created equal, even if their record says otherwise.

Oh come on, you guys can't possibly think I was serious. I called her Smartypants! And I argued that the Pens are the best team in hockey because they haven't given up a goal yet. Lighten up.

Actually, the P on the cap originally was a B. It stood for Buccaneers. During a bench clearing brawl against the Boston Braves in 1927 at Forbes Field, the bottom bulge of the B on manager Skip Toomaloo's cap fell off, causing the B to become a P. The rest is history.

where do you get your info from? The Pirates acquired there name becuz of a scandal in the 1891 where they tried to steal Lou Bierbaur from his previous club. The name Pirates stuck after that. They were previously named The Alleghanies and The Innocents. <weird name.
