I think we are all seeing how overrated a head coach JoePa really is. Without Sandusky and Ganter he's no better than Gerry Faust! That'll fire up the Blue Bloods!
And how many games would PSU have won this year and how many more blowouts would there have been if Bradley had done such a stellar job with the defense?
Any personnel or coaching changes for next season. With an offense as bad as PSU's you'd think that they would get a new offense coordinator. Oh, that's right they already have two. The coach's boy and a has been from Williamsburg who played when Joe's playbook had 5 plays and 4 of them were runs up the middle. Maybe they'll hire Todd Blackledge as a third coordinator.
'69 wasn't the only Nat'l Championship JoePa has blown what about '94? Joe winning the Rose Bowl was more important than a championship.

Easy there SP - how on earth can you blame '94 on JoePa? The team and coaches did what they had to do and went undeafted, only to be bound contractually to attend the Rose Bowl. It wasn't the same setup as the BCS where 1 and 2 played each other. Penn State got screwed out of a title (at least they should have co-champs) that year. A Penn State / Nebraska match up that year would've been great.

LP: I guess you agree with my other statement then right?

One more thing LP, the only reason State joined the big ten was so Joe could win the Rose Bowl and be the first coach to win the major bowls.

Pitt has a lot to be proud of they barely won the worst conference in college football this next to the Sun Belt and maybe the WACwent to the Fiesta Bowl and got there butt kicked by the a team out of the Mountian West stuggled to beat Furman (it took overtime) they lost to Conneticut (although they made a bowl they are not quite a powerhouse yet) and they lost there coach to Stanford (that shows how prestigius Pitt university is in the eyes of coaches) at least Penn State won the games they were suppose to and they did not lose a game to a team with a losing record. There toughest games were on the road traveling to Boston College, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. PSU had what a lot of people would consider as a horrible season but they have already locked up 2 of the top 10 recruits in the nation and a re after 3 more in the top 100 and have a reasonable chance at all of them. So go ahead Pitt fans be happy with your Panthers.

I'd like to think there were other reasons (better reasons), but who knows for sure.
I'm not convinced that JoePa is all that ails the program. He's done so much for that school, I'm of the belief that he goes when he wants to go, right or wrong.

Don't get on Galen Hall's case for the play calling. Apparently you haven't seen a Penn State game this season, because the play calling is exactly the same as pre-Hall. What does that tell you? Who do you think is calling those plays? Why did Galen Hall threaten to quit after one season? Wake up before you start talking like a fool. How much more evidence do you need?

And another thing, who blew out Penn State? What are you even talking about?

I saw all the PSU games some of them in Beaver Stadium. Just because I criticize JoePa and some of his asst. coaches doesn't mean I'm not a fan. I'm loyal to State not the head coach.

Sorry about the "blowout" confusion. Meant to say that if Bradley's defense wasn't so stellar they would have been blown out several times.
Maybe next season State can turn it around. They should with a lot of returning starters. If they are to be sucessful they have to really improve the play of the O-line that has been lacking the last two seasons.
