I was just going by a unofficial tally given to me at the end. never saw the official paper. I was just estimating anyway. doesn't really matter. a loss is a loss. Never saw the 100 times either. Do know that third place ran an 11.3 though and Harris and Gordon was real close. And i want to commend Derek for showing great sportsmanship (as he always does) as soon as Gordon went down, he turned straight around to him to see if he was alright. he wasnt worried about his time or if he won for sure. Great class that is good to see in a rivalry like this.

You are right Both Troy and Derrick are class acts. As far as it being a close meet as people are saying?? I was not there and honestly don't know much about the scoring in track. But, 102 1/2 to 47 seems like a blow-out.

Wow, I didn't think we lost by that much. But anyway, after running against them, I have to say that Bedford is probably the best rounded team there is. When they were running the long distance, it looked like an army of bisons running around that track lol. Congrats to Bedford, we'll be seeing you guys again soon I think...at invitationals or somewhere, I don't remember.

Great meet yesterday...bedford looked really good out there. Ridge just couldn't seem to get going. It all started in the 1st relay...Ridge had a huge lead going into the 4th man and then Garlock took control from there; catching the man in front of him. The kid in front of him was a good 100-150 meters ahead of Garlock and he hunted him down. That is what got Bedford going in this one. And it didn't matter that Gordon went down with that injury, Ridge already lost by then.

Ridge will still be a force to be reckoned with though. They won the county meet last year after a similar blowout by Bedford in late April, and posted a close second at the District meet. Coach I was pleased at the county meet because the Bedford coach tallied all the distances at times, and then added in his missing athletes, and if all else had gone the same, Ridge still would have had a close win. Much of this rivalry is mental, and Bedford generally has the mental edge. With Ridge going in thinking they had no chance without Ben Way and whatever, I'm not surprised they got blown out though.

Bedford has a better track team because of three or four people.

Those three or four people you are talking about only do 2 events each, and they don't always get first in those events, they just have an overall better track team compared to Ridge. You don't get a 102 1/2 to 47 score because of just 3 or 4 guys.

tbs, they do not only do 2 events...I read all the time that they are at least triple winners. And they don't always take first but 99.9% of the time, they do. But that's not the reason Bedford is good. Bedford has a lot of depth....and it's not like they just have a lot of athletes, but most of them are very good.

Ridge won Counties last year because of Harris and Marshall being down due to injury and feeling that Districts are slightly more important...

If you take away Troy, Derek, and Josh, Bedford would struggle, but like stated previously, that doesn't make up 50+points...
