Yes, the team would be bad, because you need 11 good guys on the field to be an elite team. But a having a good QB isn't as important as having a good offensive line. If the QB sucks, you can run with an OL. Without an OL, you can't run or pass.

NO ONE has answered my question though. Is it the TEAM's fault for losing if the team has 10 good players on offense and a Bad quarterback?

Yeah, because the team is playing him, even though he sucks. And if they don't have anybody better to play, then they should have done a better job of recruiting or finding talent, which would also make it their fault for not finding somebody better.

College and Pro football teams must do well off the field to be good on the field. Good at recruiting (or drafting), good at scouting, good at working out, good at maintaining morale, good at making strategy against other teams, and good at putting players where they would do the most benefit to the team. It is far more than just lining up and playing a game.

So if the QB sucks, and they don't have anybody else, then the team didn't do a good job of recruiting, trading, or drafting, and it is their own fault. If the QB sucks and they have another guy that's better, then it's the team's fault for not playing the better guy. Maybe it's not the fault of the other ten kids, but it's also not the kids' fault if they have a bad coach, which can turn a successful program into a lousy one. Like it or not, all these things are crucial to a team's success, and the team has control over just about every one of these factors to some extent.

What if the starting QB gets hurt and the lose with the second stringer behind center. Is it the TEAMS fault, or the fault of the new QB? So if Robinson gets hurt, and an unprepared Morelli takes over and they lose several games, it's the TEAMS fault?

YES! THE TEAM (OR SCHOOL) HAS CONTROL OVER WHO THEY RECRUIT, WHO THEY SCHEDULE, WHO STARTS, WHO DOESN'T START, AND WHO IS ON THE FIELD AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

So if Robinson gets hurt, and we all find out that Morelli sucks, then Penn State should have had a better back up, which they would have had control over. If Morelli gets hurt, then they should have had a better third stringer. If a team loses the top 3 starters at a position, then that really is pretty much beyond their control, that much I will concede. Now, can you stop asking stupid questions?

Great! I'll use all of this for ammunition later.

Well, all this right now is good ammo for Pitt, since their OL sucks. And if it's ammo for PSU too, so be it.

D. Will will be QB, he'll do just fine if the other 3 go down.
