Looking at what other schools in your conference are doing is alright. But COMPARING their recruiting based on early verbals is the problem. To say that Michigan is leading, and PSU is holding it's own with OSU is a stretch, when you consider there is alot of recruiting to do this year. Except for PSU, taht is, which has just about shot it's wad with 10 verbals already. But since J.B. Walton from last year's recruiting class won't be attending PSU this fall, and his recruitment is reopened at Milford Academy, maybe that'll give the Nits one more recruit. Hey, they probably could use a back-up punter.

Hence the use of the wording: "early lead", and again this whole argument over "early verbals" is a joke and you know it, or are in complete denial of reality because your team has done a lousy job so far and can only hope and pray that some momentum on the field will turn into signatures on LOI day.

USC, Texas, probably ND will have 75% of their classes filled up before the end of September, about the same percentage as PSU will have filled, unless Texas has 70 scholarships to give out this year.

What are you talking about Walton's recruiting is back open? He's trying to get to PSU by January.

Aren't you guys aware of anything???? From BWI July 30, 2006. "Walton will be playing football this fall at Milford Academy. ALTHOUGH HIS RECRUITMENT HAS REOPENED, the Walton family has made it a point to let everyone know that J.B. remains a Nittany Lion". Yah. Right. Until he changes his mind. Goodnight John-Boy.

And how many PSU commits have changed their mind, again?

Not sure what Marino scored on the Wonderlic, but it surely was higher than the .25 Kerry Collins, Tom Bill, etc. (I could go on...) blew on the breathalyzer. Hey, in the words of the savior of college football "Nobody Got Hurt!" Right???

PSU commits changing their mind??? All I know is since 2001, 22 PSU football players on scholarship have dropped off the PSU roster. And it's NOT because they graduated either. That's almost an entire recruiting class!!! Someone's changing their mind up there.

Before you conclude something from the PSU scholarship table on Scout, perhaps do a bit of research. "Know your enemy" right?

Getting back on things of substance, like recruiting, I'm hearing good stuff about Derek Moye.

"Supposedly" had a very nice unofficial this month at PSU. Down to a three horse race between PSU, Pitt, and BC.

An excellent position battle is shaping up between James McDonald and Chris Bell. Bell has a slight size advantage, both both are great talents.

Hey. All I said was that since 2001, 22 football players on scholarship at Penn State have dropped off the roster, as noted on Scout.com. Is that a lie?? I didn't say WHY they dropped off, just that they left the roster. Now, are you going to tell me that ALL 22 were hurt and could never play again? These kids are not working in a meat-packing plant in State College for cripes sake. They're on a football team. Are you going to tell me that NO ONE got disgruntled with the program and left the team? That NO ONE felt that PSU did not live up to their expectations? That maybe the coaches didn't keep the promises that were promised during recruiting? That NO ONE changed their mind?
