The difference is, ridge actually gave a crap about this game, bedford probably was looking more towards the playoffs than this vital hardcore matchup.

Could Swaim's job now be in jeopardy? Three straight first round playoff exits (1 blowout and 2 meltdowns) and now a loss to Ridge...this playoff game could mean a lot more than just advancing to the next round.

gunner, you can say that but you know darn well that the bedford boys wanted this win just as much as the ridge boys did. you can ask anyone of those players and i bet they'd say the same thing before the game, now after it as an excuse they may have tried that reasoning.

I don't want to hear that the game meant more to CR. They flat out beat Bedford. Bedford got outcoached big time. Congrats to CR they played a very good game. They stopped Bedfords big play which most teams havent been able to do.

Good post Left-eye. Ridge had a great Defensive game plan to contain the bisons. The key wasn't so much containing Feaster but shutting down the midline option which we did then Bedford had only Feaster to go to.
It was a great game hard fought by both sides!

I think Bedford could have had success by hitting the tight end down the seam after motioning feaster away. CR was overloading to Feaster big time.
Check your PM southpaw.

This game was a perfect example of why the seedings for playoffs being done a week ago were dumb! Bedford is seeded higher than Ridge and after this week, the playoff picture wouldn't be the same for sure.

I agree. Bedford may not have made the playoffs if this week counted. Although I think CR is better off with Tyrone then they would have been with BM. I think BM might be the best team in the district.

I would like to see ANY current Bedford football player get on here and agree with Gunner that this game did not mean anything and they were thinking about next week. We will be waiting for a response.

I agree with Lefteye. It seems strange to say that you're better off playing a team that's been rated number 1 AA at times during the year, but McCort is pretty potent right now -- not that Tyrone isn't, of course. There's also the fact that Ridge played very well against Tyrone in a game-type scrimmage in the pre-season. I know scrimmage results don't mean diddleysquat, but at least Ridge knows something about their opponent. During the scrimmage, both teams had some key players standing on ther sidelines, but Ridge certainly held their own. (Franco was so mad that his team made a slew of mental mistakes that after the game he had them do up and downs for what seemed like a half hour. Some of the players actually got sick. It was a great display of old school coaching that I loved! Of course, playing at Tyrone is a difficult business. No matter what happens next week, I don't think the Lions will go into the game intimidated. Anything else from here on out is gravy.
