Yeah Andy Rubal Is good , but will he be healthy to compete at the top of his game??
Bedford Should Be Alright They Got A Good Sr Group With Duke, and Roy , Wesmont Should Be same old , they dont know how to use their talent they got good bats and pitching with ziance , but he's not consistant. Johnstown Should Be Better Than Previous Years, They Got Helman Who Can Throw Heat, and He Can Hit Good , Along With Pearce to compliment the heat with junk, the trojans are returning alot of young talent ?? Let Me Know How You Feel about Wesmont and Johnstowns Chances Of Coming Up From The Back Of the lhac to be contenders ....

Richland is always good, Westmont will have a decent year for themselves, Trojans will have a great year, and the crushers will seem to have another good year.
GO TROJANS

Are pecora and fenton really thinking of "focusing on football"? Maybe its just me, but it seems that this is the most overused and stupid reason for someone to skip out on another sport. Pecora can play in hs and can surely throw for big numbers, but i cant see any college picking him up at his size. Maybe im wrong i dont no. And fenton seems even more of a stretch, being that hes just as much of a product of the system as pecora and actually benefits from pecoras throwing ability. I def dont think mr. fenton could take over an lhac game from his WR position.
And unless skoner has improved ten-fold since i last saw him play, i cant really see him setting the world on fire this year. He's a decent, but by no means a big time, pitcher.

First of all, this isn't really a football post so i'm not going much into that except for the fact that let's look at two things. #1 Pecora was what like the 2nd leading passer in the area and his ankle was blown up like a balloon until about a month after football was over. Not only that but I'm pretty sure, and by pretty sure i mean 100% sure, he missed at least one game this season due to that ankle. #2 Fenton is one of the fastest kids at the area and being as tall as 6'1'' hes a pretty good receiver. I mean he runs a 4.5, and yes, i saw it so it is true.
Now to move on to what was said about Skoner. He pitched pretty amazing last summer, and from the middle of the fall till the end, he pitched near perfect for the Jay Sox. I'm not too sure about you guys, but I am pretty sure that the competition faced there is a little more intense than highschool pitching.
Finally as for a preview of Highschool baseball this year, I'm looking for Richland and Somerset to be at the top of the LHAC this year... again. Haha. Also McCort will probably do alright just for the reason that they are McCort and usually have a good program. As for Johnstown, depending on how their pitching staff is they could be a sleeper team this year. Westmont is still gonna suck. That's about all i have to say on this subject. Feel free to criticize or add what you want, I still enjoy others opinions.

About Skoner... I wouldn't say he pitched near perfect in the fall. Even during the Keystone state games he only pitched 4 innings, allowed a ton of hits and 8 runs. That sounds like getting shelled to me. And in the fall for the Jay Sox he didn't get very many chances to pitch because of the talent infront of him, ie drew shaulis, austin boarden and brendan pifer from state college, brett vescovi, and even nathan pearce of johnstown. I agree with goldenboy on this one. Although Skoner has the talent he still has a lot to prove if he's going to be a star in the laural highlands.

Okkk, i've been around the baseball scene awhile now.. and not once has Skoner impressed me what so ever. I was at the Keystone games this summer and when he got on the mound.. things definetly didn't go right. I hear all these good things about him.. and I'm sorry but he has yet to impress me.

Yea he did look good there. And don't say something to the effect that the colt league is no good. The Colt league is more competitive than legion, and alot of times there are better players in the Colt League, because it is more like Allstar teams from around the area. And i know the one game he pitched like a two hitter, giving up two hits to Russel Gray. Two hits in any 7 inning game is good, especially considering this is baseball and some weird stuff does happen.
