personally i would rank psu around 10....

they are good and are undefeated but i would have teams like usc, ok st, and oklahoma ranked ahead of them even though they've lost

and as for pitt, i said they play to the level of their opponents meaning they play good against tougher competition (sfu, iowa, navy) and play awful against teams that are terrible (such as rutgers, bowling green)

hey i may be wrong, psu may win it all, was just my personal opinion that they're ranked a little high

PSU beat OSU, who was beaten by USC, who lost to Oregon St.

Penn State well deserves to be ranked where they are..

Penn State plays Iowa (who is a good game for Pitt), Syracuse (who is in the big least), and Oregon State. Temple very well could beat Navy, CC is a crappy opponent but each team has one. Basketball season is just around the corner and you Pitt fans can get all excited only to lose in the sweet 16.

The way USC played against Arizona last night, yeah it shows some signs that PSU could handle USC pretty good.

Give JoePa a month to prepare for any team ( like in bowl season) and he will find a way to play with any team. Look to previous years of playing Hiesman winners most did not fair well against PS in the bowl games. So ,yes PS could beat USC, Texas, Al., or even pitt.

Only team i dont wanna play is Florida. And like you even said, Paterno is excellent with bowl preparation.

I seem to recall a certain team winning a national title a few years ago over a team who was supposed to wipe the floor with them.

Anything can and does happen in those bowl games. And anyone who says "PSU will get killed" has not looked at Paterno's performances in bowl games. There were a dozen times PSU was supposedly going to get massacred and they won. And the jobs Paterno has done against Heisman winners / candidates is also very well documented.

They can beat any one of these teams. There is not one team Penn State can't beat. There are teams with MATCHUP problems, but that's it.
