Topics that go way of topic must be a pet peeve of mine, This is a posting on another topic and I'd like some more info from spaawafan on this posting "You should go watch some of penn highlands games before you knock who they play because alot of top d-1/d-2 players have to go to these colleges to get their grades up, and then go big. These boys can play at that level. Loya had devin richardson, who went on to a college in va., and he has a guy from virginia who is ten times better than any player in this area and ave about 26 a game, and had tyler smith who had about 400 points and ave. about 18 a game. Joel kaminsky was also a player on it. If they didn't lose richardson and would have had a couple more studs like the 4 mentioned above, they would have won more games. They did make the playoffs and lost, but not bad for loya and his first year ever in the league. He is recruiting harder and better, and it hurts when they can't give money to scholarships for recruits as alot of the other teams can give them out to players. They play some nice colleges with some outstanding shooters and dunkers. Kids this year flunked out and didn't show leaving them with marty, smith, and kaminsky as regular starters, and they had to start 2 kids that were originally just bodies, and losing richardson hurt them! They played some games with 5 guys and college hoops is alot faster than high school with no t.v. timeouts!! They were in most games, but tired out and lost alot of them in the 2nd half. Good experience though!!!"

Can you give us some other examples here? Where did you find these statistics? I know MaxPreps does it for HS, but I'd like to follow the website where you got some of the statistics you provided above (pts/avgs) so I can compare amongst some other college PH plays and then sends the guys into D1.

These stats were from going to alot of the games and their scorebook. This is the first year for the school and they probably don't have the stats out yet for the team. I heard they are figuring them out still. Marty redfern would score anywhere from 18- 50 points a game and smith was scoring anywhere from 10-30 a game. Their averages may be higher, but I estimated an average for those two because they were the scorers on that team. They are still looking at film and using the book to tabulate the final stats, but I don't know where they would put them, if they do put them anywhwere. The d-1 and d-2 players names I don't remember, but talked to coaches from the other teams fathers and got the info from them. The d-1 kids were from mercyhurst college and some of their players were recruited from lebron james school and other ohio schools. Some of the kids they played were 6-8 and athletic. Potomac state was a school with some nice athletes. They played different branches of penn state allegheny, butler, beaver, westmoreland, harrisburgh, geneva, garrett, pitt titusville, etc.... These kids only stay at the schools to get the grades up and then go to bigger colleges. Some of the schools they play can give money out like potomac and mercyhurst.
