You guys need to be realistic, and see that those throws he made on the 3rd and longs any qb in the league could and should make. They were in weak WEAK zones and very easy throws minus the bullet he threw to hines. come on now, realize that he is average at best, and needs a strong running game and defense to win. now he is 2-3 at home in the playoffs.

Ben doesnt put up spectacular numbers, but the plays he makes are spectacular. He scrambles his MOD EDIT off 80% of the time every game, and completes just over 60% of his passes while on the run. Put any other QB in those situations and they are guaranteed to throw under 50% completion percentage. He might not throw over 200 yards a game, but his composure is what keeps the passing game alive at least.
The San Diego game Ben got good protection, and he made plays when they needed to be made. Luckily the run game was finally there to back up the pass game, as Willie had a break away game. The line won the game for the Steelers against the Chargers simple as that.
