I'm getting more and more convinced that you can never have too many quality goalies, but I a agree, is it Fleury or the defense? I'm saying defense.

all through fleury's career it's been a double edged sword... he makes fantastic save with what seems to be very little effort, but he's so prone to the soft goal. hopefully with a proven starting goalie behind him waiting for his chance, he'll step up his game.

The position of goalie is such a streaky position. To be a great goalie year in and year out is very tough in this league and there are just a few that can sustain greatness each and every year for a decade. If Fluery wants to be considered a great goalie he needs to bring it every night.

nice to see the pens get a lead and HOLD the lead...
also good to see fleury get the shutout. maybe having garon waiting in the wing gave him a kick in the you know where.

Well fellas, today marks the beginning of a new half of the season for the Penguins. Game against the Rangers is currently tied 1-1 in the first period. Lets hope they turn it on this side of the all-star break.

every other channel has sound but FSN! it's irritating.
Edit: with 5 minutes left in the game, i get sound back.

Saw some good things on the big win tonight. Really caught on fire in the 3rd that for sure. If they keep this up the rest of the season, and play all 3 periods, especially the 3rd like they did tonight, we could be seeing a great turnaround from the Pens. Lot of season to go, Im really looking forward to it in case you couldnt notice.

I'm anxious to see what moves (if any) they make before the trade deadline. Gonchar's return will help but they need another piece or two..
