WPIAL-Titan - this is interesting news regardless of the score. I am wondering what the record is for technicals in a basketball game. Fifteen is the most I ever heard of. I personally enjoy the story because of the officiating crew. I hope the officials are wise enough to know that they cause this kind of crap. The one ref was actually the varsity football coach at Ferndale a few years back!!!

and that official pulled the same crap as a coach that's why he isn't coaching anymore. he likes to be lazy and "get in and get out" without thinking of the consequents that his actions cause on others.

I think I understand what always a fan is saying. While it's tough to defend someone in a situation like this, and by no means was I at the game, if what he says is true then I think the ejections are ridiculous. I'm fine with coming off the bench meaning a suspension, but then why were these two young men singled out? If the rule is once you leave the bench you're gone, then there should have been multiple ejections. Even zero ejections would have been more fair than singling out two players! I'd have to imagine that Guant is getting some college looks with the football season he had and his current basketball season, and I'm sure that an ejection wouldn't look good on his record. We're talking D3 schools that would see that one word and instantly decide to pass over this kid because of it. It's a real shame what happened, and I think something needs to be done to formally correct it........(assuming I have all of the facts right)

Be careful what you wish for. I am sure the PIAA will not lift the suspension for the players already suspended, they left the bench and the penalty that was supposed to be imposed was imposed. There is a greater chance after review, that all the other players that left the bench and were not suspended will have the correct penalty imposed after the fact.

This game is over let's all just let it go. Both teams have moved on and all the comments from this peanut gallery including mine are not going to help the situation. All we are doing is keeping the kettle boiling. It is time to walk away from this.
