Another thing to take into consideration in the FH CH game is say what you want about what defense they could of ran. But Gallaher was contested on many three point oppurtunities with a hand in his face and still made the shot. In the first half I thought the man covering Gallaher did a pretty good job of staying with him and contesting his shots and only gave him a few open looks but he was able to hit his shots whether he was open or someone was in his face. FH got a big lead by half and got out to a quick start and then CH essentially conceded defeat when in the 4th quarter the coach decided to rest Vescovi when he was apparently being bothered by his back. I think that was a smart decision because when these team is on they can beat anybody. But they won't have any chance if Vescovi is hurt come playoff time. It also will give the team experience if Vescovi would get in foul trouble during a playoff game or something along those lines. Much like Gallaher and FH, CH runs through Vescovi. Rest him up and give him a chance to carry his team to the D6 title.

WPIAL Titan, do you really think Gallaghar doesn't have D1 speed and quickness? If so, you've never watched him play a sport. I'd say yes, he's faired very well against a lot of D1 competition in AAU, etc. I've seen him dominate Jordan Miller. Gallaghar isn't putting all these points up by shooting threes.. he gets to the basket whenever he wants. I know you like to come on here and brag up the WPIAL and shoot down the LHAC and Westpac which is fine by me, but Gallaghar would start for any A or AA team in the WPIAL and most in AAA. If you're really doubting his speed.. the kid is a highly recruited D1 baseball prospect, which is what he'll probably end up doing after highschool. I've heard rumors that he ran one of the fastest 60 times in the entire country.

Who would have ever thought that someone with world class speed lives right here in Cambria County!!!!

Classic Cambria County mentallity. No wonder such a large percent of youth fails. Even if you do achieve something great like Gallaghar has in 2 sports, haters (grown men for that matter) who have never seen you play or run are going to tell you because your from a certain area it's impossible. "World Class" speed means one of the fastest in the world, retard. I said one of the fastest 60 times in the country. For the record, the fastest track athletes aren't out getting timed in 60's at baseball camps, kids with the ability to play baseball in college are. So that doesn't mean Luke is one of the fastest kids in the country, it means he is one of the fastest kids in the country who is also a dang good baseball player.

not debating the kid is fast, but generally times like this are grossly inaccurate. Heck I think 60s in baseball are even more inaccurate than 40's are rumored to be, and thats saying something.

I'd have to agree with you there. Every year we hear the Carrol kids with the 4.3 forty times LOL. I do put a little bit more stock into this because it's from college/mlb scouts.. but any form of hand time can be flawed. I'd love to see how fast Gallaghar would be in track

As for local athletes not being able to compete on a national scale......Did anyone see in the Mirror the Gehret kid from Altoona who is the fastest in the COUNTRY in the 400? Now that there is some serious speed for a young man that didn't want to run 400 meters. Congrats, Brady Gehret.
