Don't discount Mercyhurst Prep or Farrell out of District 10. Rochester vs. Clairton was an awesome, hard hitting, fast game last year with Farrell returning the opening kickoff for a TD and Clairton winning on a 4th quarter fumble return for TD 13-7. Both Farrell and Mercyhurst have the speed to match with Clairton. Last Years 10 vs 7 game was in Slippery Rock should be closer to the burgh this year.
I did read about that game and I totally forgot. Good call though. It's always tough to repeat.

it was definitely a late hit that shouldn't have happened, but wasn't a factor in the game. Berlin still could've won. i didn't agree with the play calling on Berlin's side. North Star was ready for the weight on saylor's shoulders and they ended it. Saylor shouldnt have been at qb. putting him in a different position would've thrown off the ns game plan. that's just what i would've done from what i saw. Lynch can throw the ball. he should've been in. take a load off ian. run some gadget plays with him in another position. something different. Berlin came out and did the same thing they did all season. North Star was ready the second time around.

the only controversial call I seen was when there punt returnees knee was down and they let him run for 20 yards befor the whistle was blown.

bbsocceralumni wrote:Blowing it out of proportion? NS fans coming on here saying it is awesome to knock a kid out? That is really blowing it out of proportion??? There is a difference between getting hurt and trying to hurt a player. A shot on a QB who is completely defenseless, helmet to helmet straight to the face isn't personal? You don't have any reason to back that up. If it was/wasn't my brother I would completely feel the same way. It was absolutely dirty.
I can tell u right now that ms wasn't trying to hurt sayler. If that's the case he would been in worse shape than wat he was. I know for a fact he would have been seriously injured. Although I'll say when ur the player that carries the whole team on ur back like sayler has done for the past how ever many yrs he startd wat do u expect. There coach is just completely retarded.

Enough with this post already! North Star just showed up and played a better game. Turnovers and injuries are a part of the game of football and they worked in North Star's favor. Best of luck to NS in the D5 final game. Keep the title in Somerset County!
